A Closer Look - Inside

To get inside the LM300 Touch Pro, four Allen type screws need to be removed from the top of the case. Showing an example of the wonderful build quality of this case, you can see in the pictures how thick the aluminum really is and how well thought out the case assembly is. The panels are jointed and assembled using screws and everything lines up with precision and accuracy. In every corner of this case the quality, craftsmanship and elegant design really stand out.

Under the hood, things look quite roomy and clean for a HTPC. Again, there is aluminum all around and not a piece of plastic to be seen. Looking towards the front there is the HDD and optical disk drive plate mounted to the upper portion. The backside has quite a standard layout similar to most cases, which really is a good thing and there is no need to mess up or fancify an already good design. As you can see when the case is positioned on its side, its size is similar to a mid-tower and offers plenty of room.

Having a closer look at the rear, to the left are the expansion slots which are made from a steel mesh and aid in ventilation. The center consists of the 120mm fan and the I/O shield area. Fan placement in a HTPC is vital and having it centrally located in the rear is optimal due to it pulling the air from every area of the case. To the right is the area for PSU placement. The rest of the back panel is vented, aiding in cooling while keeping noise minimal.

Looking at the front of the case from the inside are all of the inner workings for the LCD, volume knob, media card readers and buttons. While the amount of wires coming out of the area may look a bit messy, everything is mounted precisely and cleanly plus all of the cables and wires are pre-installed where they need to go. The only connections for the front panel needed to make by the user are those which go to the motherboard and power supply.
