Packaging

The HDD dock ships in the signature blue and black packaging we have come to expect from Vantec. In front is an image of the device itself in the appropriate color. This means that you will have a black shot of the HDD Dock on there if the box contains a black one. The rear goes into detail about the device's functionality and its specifications.


I actually had the sample in my suitcase from Computex all the way through my vacation and finally home. It is well packaged, so that you won't have to worry about any damage during transportation.

Along with the dock, you will receive a USB 3.0 cable, manuals and a compact, white power brick. Looks like Vantec has taken the opportunity and gotten rid of that large square brick we have seen with the USB 2.0 hard drive dock. Besides being nice and small and having the same color as the device itself, it supplies the HDD Dock with 2 Amps of power - well above the 900 mA USB 3.0 is capable of.
