532nm Green Sport Elite Goggles

The Goggles came in this protective case.

These goggles are specifically designed for use with green lasers that output light at 532nm. Thankfully, they do not look like those clunky, ugly lab goggles you had to use in school.
Instead, these Green Sport Elite Goggles are fairly attractive while being protective of your sensitive eyes. The orange eye lenses are purposely built to protect your eyes from the light emitted by green lasers but at the same time keep light of other wavelengths visible. This allows you to only block out the dangerous reflections which may damage your eyes while being able to view everything else around you clearly.

The goggles are nice and tight fitting and would be suitable for anyone. The end earpieces are adjustable so you can extend/retract the length of the goggles to get the right fit. Also included with the goggles, you get a cleaning cloth and a necklace.

Testing

We tested the goggles with a 125mW Fusion, where we tried various scenarios that would normally be undertaken by laser enthusiasts. Without goggles, the dot is extremely bright and usually gives you a headache after a few minutes of usage when close-up. When shining the laser on a white surface about 10 meters away, you can just about see an orange dot about 7-10mm in size and it isn’t even bright. Even at 1 meter away, the dot is very small, orange and does not look bright at all – sort of like those red pointers outputting 0.5mW on low batteries.
This makes the goggles perfect for close-up action – lighting matches, popping balloons, cutting tape and so on.
