Value and Conclusion

  • The Zykon M1 Gaming Mouse starts at just around 29,99€, which is a normal price you would expect from such a mouse.
  • Reasonable price
  • Symmetrical shape, should fit left handed gamers
  • Mouse wheel easy to use
  • On-the-fly DPI changing
  • Great in combination with large cloth pad
  • Well placed buttons
  • Solid software
  • LEDs are perfect for LAN parties
  • Feels somewhat hollow and plastic is not as sturdy as other mice
  • Left handed gamers will not be able to reach side buttons
  • Mouse is very compact
  • High sensitivity gamers may want a heavier mouse
7.8The Zykon M1 mouse looks somewhat menacing, with it's flat, wide front and big round end. While it may look big at first, it is a bit smaller than most mice and certainly not as heavy as you may be used to. This makes the mouse great for low sensitivity gamers, which need to travel long distances on a gaming surface, while high sensitivity gamers may miss the extra weight. The mouse also works great on large cloth pads, one of which can be had in form of the P3 from Zykon as well. The simple but solid software adds very good customization features to the M1. The buttons are well placed and most of them can be programmed to fit your needs as well. The four different DPI settings are worlds apart, with the 1600 DPI setting being a tad bit too fast for the average gamer. The big downside is construction quality, as the mouse can be easily squeezed and the plastic does give way a bit, the creaking of the plastic can be heard from time to time while playing and will not impress your neighbour at a LAN party.
