SilverStone Revives Tundra with TD02 and TD03
SilverStone gave its Tundra line of liquid-cooling products a new lease of life with two new closed-loop CPU coolers, the TD02 and TD03 (pictured in that order). The two feature design and fans by SilverStone. The TD02 features a radiator assembly that measures 278 x 124 x 33.5 mm (LxWxH, excluding fans), and can latch on to four 120 mm fans. The TD03, on the other hand, uses a radiator assembly close to half the size of its sibling, measuring 124 x 159 x 45 mm. The base+pump assembly is the same for both, measuring 55 x 60 x 33.5 mm, which features a polished copper base. The two will reach stores later this week.
Asetek Sues Cooler Master Over Multiple Patent Infringements
Asetek, which manufactures closed-loop liquid cooling solutions that are re-branded by several companies, filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Cooler Master alleging infringement of multiple patents held by Asetek. Cooler Master's recently launched Seidon line of closed-loop liquid CPU coolers are points of contention for Asetek, as it claims the products infringe upon patent numbers 8,240,362 and 8,245,764, held by the company.
Seidon 120M and 240M may have been launched late January 2013, but had been pictured much earlier, in September. Ahead of its launch, Asetek claims it had contacted Cooler Master with a cease-and-desist order, but it claims the latter didn't respond satisfactorily, going ahead with the launch. The case (Civil Action No. 3:13-cv-00457-JSC) will now be heard by a US Court. Cooler Master's defense could stress on the point the essential design of a CPU liquid cooler hasn't changed for decades. Other liquid cooling makers, which aren't particularly as big as Asetek (which sells liquid cooling solutions to even the server and defense industries), will be closely following the case.Source: eTeknix

Asetek's ISAC Eliminates Need for Active Cooling In Harsh Data Center Environments
Asetek today announced that its ISAC (Inside Server Air Conditioning) has been selected by the DoD (Department of Defense) to participate in its TROPEC (Transformative Reductions in Operational Energy Consumption) program. TROPEC is a collaborative Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DOE) program that targets game-changing enhanced energy efficiency for critical applications at military forward ISACoperations, such as data centers and communications.
ISAC is the next generation of Asetek's RackCDU data center liquid-cooling product line. Unlike the traditional RackCDU products, which can eliminate 80% of server cooling load in the data center, ISAC eliminates the need for active cooling altogether by removing 100% of server heat through Asetek's proprietary liquid-cooling solution. As a result, ISAC offers significant energy savings and enhanced system reliability in harsh operating environments.

Asetek Introduces ISAC - Chiller-less, CRAC-less Data Center Cooling Technology
Asetek Inc., the world's leading supplier of liquid cooling solutions for computers announced today that it will showcase its patented ISAC (Inside Server Air Conditioning) reference design at SC12 in Salt Lake City, Utah - November 12-15. This is the first time it will be displayed to the public. Formal presentations and live demonstrations will be available at Asetek's booth #4045.
ISAC is revolutionary, completely eliminating the need for CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) in the data center. All air inside the server stays inside the server and recirculates rather than exiting and heating up the data center which also significantly relaxes the air dust quality spec inside the data center.

Asetek RackCDU Liquid Cools NVIDIA Tesla K20 GPU Accelerators
Asetek Inc., the world's leading supplier of liquid cooling solutions for computers, announced today that its hot water, direct-to-chip RackCDU liquid cooling systems will cool NVIDIA Tesla K20 GPU accelerators and that these cooling solutions will be on display at SC12.
Asetek direct-to-chip technology captures heat directly into liquid and removes it from the data center in an all liquid path. Asetek liquid is 4000 times more efficient as a coolant than air. With this efficiency, Asetek RackCDU makes deploying high density racks more practical at a data center scale while simultaneously reducing data center cooling energy consumption by over 50%. Density is particularly important in HPC/supercomputing applications where large numbers of servers work simultaneously on the same problem and maintaining short communication paths between servers is critical to the overall performance of the supercomputer.

Sandy Bridge-E Stock Watercooling: Enthusiast Overclocking Right Out Of The Box
Intel have finally confirmed that they will be including water cooling as an enthusiast solution for their upcoming Core i7-3000 series Sandy Bridge-E processors due for release on November 14 – a first for Intel and something for AMD to match. They have gone with Asetek due to their high quality products and good reputation, which will be branded with the distinctive Intel blue logos. The 12cm radiator fan will actually be illuminated in Intel Blue, giving a classy look to the kit. On top of that, they will actually sell the kit separately, so no one need feel left out. The E-series chips are already significantly faster than the current Sandy Bridge offerings, but water cooling will be able to stretch that lead even further and should make for some exciting overclocking achievements. Perhaps 6GHz or more 24/7 reliable operation is within reach? No prices as yet.Sources: X-bit labs Softpedia

Upcoming Corsair Hydro Series H80, H100 CPU Coolers Listed
A Swedish online store early-listed two of Corsair's unheard of upcoming CPU coolers in the Hydro series, the Hydro H80 and Hydro H100. The Hydro series includes pre-assembled, closed-loop CPU water-cooling kits that are relatively inexpensive compared to full-fledged custom-made loops. Corsair sources these kits from OEMs such as CoolIT and Asetek. Both new models are positioned above the existing single-fan slim H50, single-fan bigger radiator H60, and double-fan (push-pull) bigger radiator H70.
The Hydro H80 uses a thick 120x120 mm area radiator that's roughly as big as that of the H70, but has a bigger block unit, probably amounting to higher water flow. The block unit also appears to have a control knob. The Hydro H100, on the other hand, uses a large 240x120 mm area radiator that can hold two 120 mm fans on either sides, but comes with two fans. It seems like H100 has the same exact block unit as the H80, with its control knob. The Hydro H100 is listed at 1,075 Swedish Krona (US $172.5), while the Hydro H80 is listed at 965 Krona ($154).Source: SweClockers

Asetek Readies, Demonstrates Water Cooling Solution for GTX 580
Water-cooling solution brand Asetek, which is popular with the OEMs, demonstrated a prototype GPU water-cooling solution for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580. The prototype uses an off-the-shelf GTX 580 card branded by PNY (doesn't necessarily mean that Asetek is designing this for PNY). The cooler could be to be a pre-assembled GPU water block loop that replaces the aluminum channel heatsink in the reference NVIDIA cooler. The NVIDIA reference blower is retained to cool other components such as memory and VRM, probably at low speeds.
Asetek put its GTX 580 prototype to test, by overclocking the PNY GTX 580 Enthusiast Edition to 995 MHz core, 1846 MHz CUDA cores, and 1100 MHz (4.40 GHz effective) memory. At these speeds, the GPU was able to score 1285 points at average framerate of 51 FPS in Unigine Heaven 2.0 benchmark. Watch the video embedded after the break for details.
