BitFenix Releases New Prodigy M Colors

The BitFenix Design Lab has always been listening intently to the feedback from the community, and nowhere has this been more evident than the release of the Prodigy M chassis. The micro ATX variant of the Prodigy, Prodigy M is the result of direct feedback from users who wanted the same styling and sophistication of Prodigy, but desired the capability of installing micro ATX motherboards. Today, BitFenix is announcing not one, but two releases inspired by community feedback: Prodigy M Color and Prodigy M Window Side Panels

NEC Announces MultiSync P242W 24-inch AH-IPS Monitor

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the additions of the 24-inch MultiSync P242W-BK and P242W-BK-SV, entry-level professional desktop widescreen monitors with LED backlights. The economical MultiSync P242W display joins the MultiSync P Series family, which features standard-gamut monitors designed for web, high-end desktop and photography applications to ensure accurate, consistent and repeatable color performance.

Its white LED-backlit AH-IPS panel only requires 29 watts of typical power while its ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display's brightness based on lighting conditions. "The 24-inch P242W display gives professionals in color-critical jobs a powerful tool for managing and delivering superior content," said Art Marshall, Product Manager for Professional and Medical Displays at NEC Display Solutions. "Built on the longevity of the MultiSync family of products, the P242W offers a broad feature set and robust 4-year warranty, translating to a very favorable total cost of ownership."

Philips Launches LightFrame-equipped 23-inch Moda Monitor

Philips announced a new 23-inch monitor for home and small-business consumers, the Moda 248X3LFHSB. The monitor is equipped with what its makers refer to as "LightFrame", a unique bezel that emits a soft-blue light that works to reduce eye strain and improve concentration. Its base and arm are made of aluminum. Its 23.6-inch panel sports full-HD resolution.

The monitor takes input from one D-Sub and two HDMI connectors. There are other Philips-exclusives, such as SmartColor, which auto-adjusts settings to result in the best color reproduction; SmartTXT, which works to improve the legibility to text; and SmartResponse, which is basically a low response time that works to alleviate "ghosting", in fast-moving images. The Philips Moda 248X3LFHSB is priced at SG $399 (US $316).

LG Unveils Much Anticipated 55-inch OLED TV for First Time at CES 2012

Scythe Announces FenrisWolf PC Case

Samsung Introduces New Slim Touch of Color LCD Monitors

Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, the number one worldwide brand of LCD display products, today announced the release of its 70 Series Monitors: the P2070, P2370 and P2370HD. These slim LCD monitors, with screen depths of 30 mm (1.18 inches) for the P2070 and P2370 and 65.5mm (2.58 inches) for the P2370HD and Touch of Color (ToC) design, are the latest release of Samsung’s high performance displays.
“The 70 Series offers our customers a sophisticated-looking LCD monitor with the performance capability of our televisions,” said J.H. Kim, President of Samsung Electronics America’s Information Technology Division. “The 70 Series is the new standard as more people upgrade their monitors for additional uses, like watching television programs and playing video games.”

Sony Adds New Carnival Colors to PlayStation Portable

Sony has now made its PlayStation Portable console more colerfull than ever, by adding four new colors. The lovely PSP-3000 is now available in "carnival" Blue, Red, Yellow and Green colors. All models are expected to ship sometime in March and sell as starter kit for ¥19,800 (about $223), or with a 4GB Memory Stick and a 2200mAh battery for ¥24,800 (about $279). Sony is also going to release special PSP cases that match your PSP's desired color.
