MSI Z87 MPower Pictured
Here are some of the first clear pictures of MSI Z87 MPower, one of the company's top socket LGA1150 motherboards, which will be unveiled a little later. The board retains the black+yellow color-scheme from its predecessor, the Z77 MPower, built more solidly. The board appears to feature a 16-phase CPU power delivery, which uses a combination of SFC chokes, DrMOS, and high-C tantalum capacitors. It draws power from two 8-pin EPS connectors, in addition to the 24-pin ATX.
The CPU socket on the Z87 MPower is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots, supporting up to 64 GB of dual-channel memory, and three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (x16/NC/NC or x8/x8/NC or x8/x4/x4); three PCI-Express x1 slots make for the rest of the expansion area. Connectivity includes an enhanced onboard audio solution named "Audio Boost," which we imagine is an onboard amp for select channels; gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WLAN, Bluetooth, display outputs that include dual-HDMI and DisplayPort connectors, and a number of USB 3.0 ports. Storage connectivity includes eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports. Find more pictures at the source.Source: 59Hardware.net

MSI Rolls Out Radeon HD 7790 2GB OC Graphics Card
MSI launched a new Radeon HD 7790 graphics card with 2 GB of memory, and factory-overclocked speeds. The R7790-2GD5/OC from MSI features custom PCB and cooler designs by MSI. The card uses a tall, dual-slot GPU cooler, which uses a 100 mm fan to ventilate a heat-pipe fed aluminum fin-stack. The PCB uses components selected by MSI, including SFC chokes, which don't whine on load.
The card offers clock speeds of 1050 MHz core, over 1000 MHz core, while leaving the memory untouched. It features double the memory amount as AMD's reference design. Based on the 28 nm "Bonaire" silicon, the Radeon HD 7790 packs 896 stream processors, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. The card draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector; display outputs include two DVI, and one each of HDMI and DisplayPort. MSI didn't reveal pricing or availability.

MSI Big Bang Z87 XPower Motherboard Teased
With Computex 2013 a little over a month away, alongside which Intel plans to launch its 4th generation Core "Haswell" family, motherboard manufacturers are gearing up for another summer of product launches, with compatible socket LGA1150 motherboards. Among these is MSI, which teased its flagship motherboard that targets overclockers and PC enthusiasts interested in taking the Core i7-4770K and Core i5-4670K for a spin. This motherboard falls inside the company's Big Bang series, bearing the name Z87 XPower. As the name suggests, it's based on Intel's Z87 Express chipset.
Not much is known about the Big Bang Z87 XPower, except what the teaser video (after the break) and a couple of corner-shots reveal. Expect a fancy new color scheme (probably a combination of gold and black), a new design scheme for the VRM and chipset heatsinks with a glowy "X" sign, the usual plethora of overclocking options MSI packs with its high-end motherboards, and what appears to be an mSATA or mPCIe slot, in one of the pictures.

Palit and PC Partner Beat ASUS in Graphics Card Market Share
According to the latest global graphics card market share seen by Taiwanese tech industry observer DigiTimes, Palit Microsystems and PC Partner have each surpassed ASUSTek. The two relegated ASUS to the position of third biggest graphics card vendor by volume. ASUS is a vendor-neutral graphics card vendor, selling both NVIDIA GeForce and AMD Radeon graphics cards; while Palit beat it with a predominantly GeForce-based product stack. Although Palit Microsystems is vendor-neutral on paper, it virtually stopped making AMD Radeon-based products.
Palit Microsystems runs two major brands, Palit, and Gainward, which target different global markets, and are seldom found in the same market. PC Partner, on the other hand, runs Sapphire, which focuses on AMD Radeon products, and ZOTAC, focusing on NVIDIA GeForce. Both Palit Microsystems and PC Partners also contract-manufacture graphics cards for other companies. With the surge of Palit Microsystems and PC Partner, ASUSTek is pushed down to the third place in global market-share, followed by MSI and GIGABYTE.

The company labeled these cards simply "HD 7970 Boost Edition." Among the cards MSI unveiled are a base-model (R7970 TF 3GD5 BE), and a factory-overclocked one (R7970 TF 3GD5 BE/OC). The base model features a GPU clock speed of 925 MHz, PowerTune Boost clock speed of 975 MHz, and memory speed of 5.50 GHz. The OC variant, on the other hand, features a GPU clock speed of 1000 MHz, Boost clock of 1050 MHz, and memory clock of the same 5.50 GHz. Hence neither conform to AMD's HD 7970 GHz Edition specs.
Both cards are based on custom designed PCBs and cooling solutions, by MSI. Its trusty Twin Frozr III cooling solution, which uses a pair of 80 mm "Propeller Blade" (high sweep) fans to ventilate a dense heatpipe-fed aluminum fin stack; is in charge of cooling the GPU, while a heatspreader looks after the memory and VRM. TDP of both cards is rated at 253W, both cards draw power from a combination of 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors. Display outputs on both cards include a dual-link DVI, an HDMI 1.4a, and two mini-DisplayPort 1.2 connectors. MSI did not reveal pricing.
