FSP Aurum 92+ Modular PSUs Unveiled
Fortron's channel brand FSP unveiled its Aurum 92+ line of modular PSUs. The 80 Plus Platinum compliant power-boxes will initially ship in two mid-range capacities, 550W (PT-550M) and 650W (PT-650M). The two feature Fortron's innovative FSPMIA-IC, a single chip that integrates various voltage regulation and protection functions, minimizing clutter on the PCB. Both models use a quad-rail technology, with four 18A +12V rails. The company's HybridSynergy technology allows load to be spread across the four rails. Most common protection features are covered. The two feature partially modular cabling, with the 24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS, and a PCIe connector being fixed, while the SATA/Molex connectors and a second set of PCIe cables are modular. The two will reach stores some time in February.
Corsair Launches CX Series Modular Power Supplies
Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC hardware market, today announced the addition of the CX Series Modular power supply units (PSUs) to the company's award-winning PSU line-up. Available in 430, 500, 600, and 750 watt power configurations, the new CX Modular PSUs provide PC builders with the stable reliability of Corsair PSUs at a price that is easy on the pocket.
Unlike budget PSUs, the CX Series Modular PSUs feature a hybrid modular cable system that allows PC builders to install just the cables (PCI-E, SATA, and 4-pin) required for their computer's configuration, for a cleaner look and improved airflow and cooling. The standard ATX form factor and ample cable lengths of the PSUs provide worry-free compatibility with the majority of PCs. In addition, the 80 PLUS Bronze certified PSUs deliver up to 85% energy efficiency at typical 50% usage loads, producing less heat, improving reliability, and reducing noise.

Enermax Launches New Modular Triathlor FC PSU Series
Modu82+ has been one of the most popular power supply series ever. End users from all around the globe appreciate this Enermax PSU because it focuses on the pure essentials of power supply: durable components, silent operation and stable performance. No wonder that Enermax could sell this series continuously from 2008 until today. But due to the technological progress, time has come to say goodbye to the Modu82+ – and welcome the new long runner from Enermax, the Triathlor FC.
Enermax engineers entirely dismissed short-term market trends and concentrated on the development of a PSU design that will run over long years. The Triathlor FC is not a blinky poser. On the contrary, it comes in a classic black, downright ordinary housing. But don’t judge this PSU by its cover: The Triathlor FC is equipped with latest Enermax technology. The manufacturer has spared neither costs nor effort to develop a product that meets the highest standards in terms of performance capability and quality.

Colorful Unveils Graphics Card Cooler with Modular Air + LN2 Design
Check out this graphics card cooler design concept from the design house of Colorful, the people behind some of the most wacky and ingenuous graphics card cooler designs. The card is touted to be the "world's first liquid nitrogen customized."
Its cooler design is pretty straightforward. The GPU, memory, VRM, and other hot ancillaries make contact with a copper vapor-chamber plate, to which are attached a first stage of aluminum fin heatsinks. This stage can be decked up with a second stage of heatsinks that attach to the first stage using numerous heat-pipes, and a fan can be attached at the center, which ventilate the heatsinks. The fan, along with the second stage, can be removed, to reveal the copper plate that makes direct contact with the GPU. To this, a liquid-nitrogen (LN2) evaporator (parallel or perpendicular to the card's plane), can be attached. The LN2 evaporator cools the entire first stage, which cools not only the GPU, but also the memory, VRM, and other hot ancillaries.

Super Flower Readies 650W Modular PSU with Avionics-Grade Contacts, 90% Efficiency
Super Flower launched its second high-performance 650W (continuous, peak output is 750W) modular PSU after the SF-650P14PE, the SF-650P14XE. The new model packs a ton of new features such as PFC + LLC, half-bridge resonant topology, DC-to-DC output, and synchronous rectification. Although it qualifies for 80 Plus Gold, its makers claim efficiency levels as high as 90%.
The SF-650P14XE incorporates Japanese capacitors, Infineon-made MOSFETs, and double vertical transformers. The unit is cooled by a 140 mm Yate Loon-made fan, which is LED-lit (red or blue). Another striking feature is its so-called avionics-grade modular cabling couplings, which ensure good contact. Similar solutions have been implemented previously, on some ABS-Tagan PSUs.

Super Flower Unveils 500W Modular PSU
To add choice in the mainstream segment, Super Flower is working on a new 500W modular PSU, with a manufacturer-rated efficiency of 85%. The SF-500K14XP, pictured below, is very similar to the SF-550K14XP, which was unveiled in April. The new model features LLC resonant half-bridge rectifiers, with a conversion efficiency that, according to Super Flower, is comparable to 80 Plus Bronze requirements. The unit has sufficient modular cabling to power a single graphics card gaming PC. Pricing information is awaited.Source: Expreview
G.Skill Unveils Trident X Series DDR3-2400 MHz Modular-Heatsink Overclocking Memory
G.Skill unveiled its newest line of memory for extreme overclocking, the Trident X. Its launch is timed to follow that of Intel's Core "Ivy Bridge" processor family, and is optimized for 7-series chipset motherboards (due to their support of latest Intel XMP 1.3 specification). Pictured below is what Trident X series modules look like: a black PCB with a slightly long black metal heatsink, which has a detachable crown heatsink (red). One can notice a slot for heat pipes in the juncture between the crown heatsink and the module's main heatsink.
Aesthetically, the Trident X series modules don a black+red color scheme, which goes well with the black+red motherboard in the background (in the press-shot). Pictured below are the DDR3-2400 MHz (PC3-19200) modules in dual-channel configuration. The XMP profile runs the module at its 2400 MHz DDR (1200 MHz real) speed, with timings of 10-12-12-31T, and DRAM voltage of 1.65V. The modules will be available in various other speed/timing configurations, and in densities of 4 GB and 8 GB, making up for 8 GB and 16 GB dual-channel kits, for the new "Ivy Bridge" platform; 16 GB and 32 GB quad-channel kits for the Sandy Bridge-E platform. The older Sandy Bridge LGA1155 platform might not be 100% compatible, since it lacks XMP 1.3 support. G.Skill Trident X will be formally announced on May 4.
