Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL

Very nice case. One thing that I don't understand is the I/O panel on the bottom. Dust will get in there, wires will need to be extra long, and I can't plug in a USB drive without getting out of the chair and kneeling down on my hardwood floor.

XFX Launches Phoenix Nirvana Series Radeon RX Graphics Cards in White

"China-exclusive" Why is this news here? Got me all excited for nothing. I guess it's still between a white Zotac 4080 Super and a white ASRock 7900 XTX Taichi.

AMD Hits Highest-Ever x86 CPU Market Share in Q1 2024 Across Desktop and Server

This doesn't really tell the whole picture. ARM sales are taking away from the x86 pie. AMD is getting a bigger piece of a smaller pie. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-will-hold-20-of-server-cpu-market-in-2023-analysts-say That metric is not used for marketshare. It might matter when...

AMD Reports First Quarter 2024 Financial Results

That's an impressive 28% R&D spend. Apple spends 8% and Nvidia spends 11%. If you have a brokarage account, open up the valuations tab. AMD and Nvidia have nearly the same forward P/E of 27 to 28. AMD has a profit margin of 5% and Nvidia has a profit margin of almost 50%. One can lower...

LG Display to Mass Produce World's First Gaming OLED Panel With Switchable Refresh Rate and Resolution

I hear you. I'll be getting this too. I'm currently running a 6950XT which is enough for my 4k60 LG. With AMD going mid-range only, there is a chance they don't bother with DP2.1. Nvidia lagged AMD with HDMI 2.1 support. So there is this non-zero chance that there might not be DP2.1 support...

Razer Introduces Viper V3 Pro Esports Gaming Mouse

Any recommendations for a white wired mouse? Time to replace my Zowie EC1-A. Going for a white theme this time. I was looking at glorious model D but some reviews mentioned that it flexes and creaks. I don't want to bother with charging that's why wired.

LG Display to Mass Produce World's First Gaming OLED Panel With Switchable Refresh Rate and Resolution

AORUS model has been selling on newegg. However, there is no DP2.1 video card out so how long are we going to be waiting on that? https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824012082

LG Announces Pricing and Availability of its 2024 UltraGear OLED Monitor Lineup

It's hard to tell what you're comparing. ETA Sept 2024. These monitors are shipping in March/April. They're not monitor panels. Where are these specs from if the panel has not yet been manufactured and definitely not tested? Those look like TV panels. LG G series is the only one with MLA...

Snapdragon X Elite-powered Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge to Compete with M3 MacBooks in Pricing

"at €1,759, which should put it in competition with several models of M3-powered MacBooks" €1,759 = $1,922.44. M3 Pro is $1,800 right now. And not the M3 PRO with a base M3 but the actual M3 PRO CPU. M1 is $750 and M3 is $1,250 in Macbook Airs. M3 in Macbook Pro body is $1,400. I don't see...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series "Blackwell" to use 28 Gbps GDDR7 Memory Speed

That would not get the same amount of clicks. If true, that makes perfect business sense. Nvidia will start low and have the ability to do a mid-cycle refresh with faster memory.

LG Announces Pricing and Availability of its 2024 UltraGear OLED Monitor Lineup

I understand this is just an ad but there should be a mention of the panel technology. This is WOLED which is inferior to QD-OLED. Meanwhile, these prices are higher than QD-OLED. MSI 32" one is under $1,000. This 32" LG should be in the $700-800 range. LG is a budget brand and should be...

GIGABYTE Announces Enhanced 3-Year Warranty for QD OLED Gaming Monitors

In the US it also depends on where you purchase from. The store can give you an extended warranty beyond the manufacturer one. TVs Best Buy: 1 year Costco: 3 to 5 years depending on TV. OLEDs are all 5 years (2y manufacturer plus 3y All State insurance) Monitors Costco: Do not fall under the...

Incoming MSI QD-OLED Gaming Monitors Receive Permanent Price Cuts

Valid point. I see some early issues in reviews that will require a firmware update in the future. I wonder why you can't use USB-C for firmware updates. Watchout for Alienware. The Dell calls the HDMI ports "2.1" on the AW2725DF but they only have 2.0 bandwidth (18Gbps). The maximum...

Incoming MSI QD-OLED Gaming Monitors Receive Permanent Price Cuts

    That's a totally different monitor. https://www.msi.com/Monitor/MEG-342C-QD-OLED Both ports can handle 240Hz. If DP1.4 bothers you still why not use HDMI instead? Display Port: 3840 x 2160 (Up to 240Hz) HDMI™ 2.1: 3840 x 2160 (Up to 240Hz) Type C(DP alt.): 3840 x 2160 (Up to 240Hz) and 90W...
