The Corsair MP300 was a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on June 5th, 2018, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 120 GB to 960 GB. This page reports specifications for the 480 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the Corsair MP300 interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x2 connection. The SSD controller is the PS5008-E8-10 from Phison, a DRAM cache chip is available. Corsair has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the MP300, the flash chips are made by Toshiba. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are handled more quickly. The cache is sized at 28 GB, once it is full, writes complete at 517 MB/s. The MP300 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,600 MB/s and 1,040 MB/s write; random IO reaches 220K IOPS for read and 200K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 135 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. The TBW rating for the Corsair MP300 480 GB is unknown.
