True, but at the same time that's 1/3 of a 300 dollar PC, which will be faster than what they have.

HalfAHertzThis would probably knock the socks off of my old agp Ati 9600XT, which is still working btw after 6 years at my folks' internet box!
I had one of these from Saphire, the mobo and CPU died before the GPU did, it lasted through 3 machines, back when ATI made good cards.

Thank HIS for this excelent Frankenstein, i do love it when manufactures create such cards for mission critical as said before and this is the only pci ati card that accelerates HD Video right?
I only heard of the 8200 and 8400 GS as PCI before no ATI 3xxx HD where released as pci right?

I have not heard of a 8200 card for PCI, but the following relatively modern cards exist for PCI:
nVidia: 8400GS (I have one), 8500GT (I have one), 9400GT, 9500GT. The was a 8600GT by Albatron but good luck finding one of those.
ATI: HD2400Pro, HD3450 and now HD5450.

if so,i can see them being used for massive multi monitor setups
depending on resolution, it perhaps could handle 2, but 3 I just don't see how due to the PCI bandwidth limitation.

Good times, nice to see more pci cards. But i don't use the sh** anymore. I still want that rare 8600gt pci card, but hey you know i would buy this dx11 pci card if the price was say 25 bucks.

Grunt isn't the issue, it's the bottleneck to the card as, 133 Mb/s is the max of PCI.
