Steve Jobs No More

A bright lamp in the information technology industry put out. Legendary industry pioneer and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs died. He was 56. His death was announced by Apple without giving a specific cause, though it is reported that Jobs had been battling cancer since 2004. "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," the company said in a brief statement. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve," it added. TechPowerUp joins the rest of the industry in mourning this great loss.

RIP, Mr. Jobs. My middle school memories of playing Sim Farm and Sim City wouldn't have been complete without your Macintosh machines.

He was such a creative and smart man... He will be remembered for a long time!

I am deeply sorry that he wasn't able to battle cancer.... :(

Seriously though, as Darkleoco said, we've lost a brilliant innovator in the tech world. It's a really bad thing for us

It is interesting that those that are cracking jokes about Steve's death wont ever get close enough to a spotlight in the tech world to even warrant others' respect... or lack thereof...

I was never a Mac fan. I have always been anti-Apple but I always recognized that Steve Jobs was very talented at what he did and an undisputed pioneer in our time

RIP Steve

Not a fan of the company, or their practices but you never want to see a guy go this young to a disease like cancer.

Was never an Apple fan. I like my iPod touch and that is about it. However, it is indeed a shame that a light as bright as his own, has gone out. RIP Steve.

Fuck you ppl who posts shitty comments about him on this, day, yeah FUCK YOU!

where would we all be today when it comes to technology? i can assure you it would look a whole lot different if not worse if he hadnt been here.

those of you who hate a man because of his success and creativity must be dealing with some very bad personal issues.

shame on you fuckers, really, go jump off a bridge or something.

RIP Steve.

I have to agree here... This isn't the day to be mean etc to him. It's not like he is a very bad person or something :wtf: Give the man the respect he is due

I hope Apple continues to innovate, even without him, as that will not only honor him, but it will be much better for all of us :p

The man created amazing tech. I remember planning out my Car Audio system in 2005 and awaiting the Nano 4Gb, just so i could control it from my Head unit. R.I.P. Steve Jobs!

How are people going to live now without their cult leader, now that he's idead and everything??... A person like Ralph Steinman I can mourn, but not a megalomaniac salesman who practiced extortionate pricing for his products which were assembled in sweat shops where people actually killed themselves because of the conditions they were forced to work in; and just because he died doesn't make him a better person all of a sudden. So mourn him all you want I don't care, he's dead and not even the billions of dollars he made off of gullible customers could save him from the dirt.

PS: you're not an innovator if what you do is take ideas from other people and call them your own

I admit honestly i was never really a fan of him for many reasons but i cannot deny as a human being with family and friends it sucks that he is gone.

But going by pictures of him he looked like his body was suffering, not trying to say it's good that is he gone but he is probably much better off now.
