MAINGEAR Maximizes CPU Heat Transfer With the EPIC T1000 Thermal Cooling Solution

MAINGEAR, an award-winning custom PC builder offering custom desktops, custom notebooks, pc and workstations, is excited to announce their next innovation from MAINGEAR EPIC Labs; the MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 CPU thermal solution for their entire desktop lineup.

The MAINGEAR EPIC T100 is an ultra-high performing phase change metal alloy thermal interface material (TIM) offering the most effective solution to transfer heat from the CPU to the heatsink with high bulk conductivity. The MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 deploys into all the surface micro-asperities on the CPU lid and heat sink in a way that traditional paste solutions simply cannot.

The MAINGEAR T1000 is perfect for those who overclock their PCs and want immediate maximum thermal conductivity without waiting for the traditional curing times found in other solutions on the market today. This allows MAINGEAR and enthusiasts alike to reach the most extreme overclocking limits quickly and cut off precious extra degrees, resulting in a more stable system.

Key features highlighted below:

Maximizing Performance

The MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 has outstanding thermal conductivity-as much as 3 times better than the best silver-filled greases. The EPIC T1000 is unmatched by any other materials except solders, and unlike solders, the EPIC T1000 can be used between materials without matching Coefficients of Thermal Expansion (CTEs) such as between silicon dies and metal heat sinks. With the big reduction in thermal resistance EPIC T1000 provides, the demands on heat sinks and fans are relaxed, leading to many desirable results: decreased costs, quieter operation, and form-factor reductions.

Minimal Noise

The MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 also addresses a key emerging issue in the electronics industry-acoustics. For comfort in the home, and for safety in the workplace, the trend of increasing fan noise must be reversed. The EPIC T1000, by increasing the performance and efficiency of heat sinks reduces the need for enhanced airflow.

Consistent Performance

The MAINGEAR T1000 is a unique, effective solution that offers an easier, faster and more consistent way for PC performance not to be hindered by potential issues from heat generated by their CPU. Because the EPIC T1000 is a truly engineered solution you can be guaranteed consistent, repeatable performance with each application - there is no risk of over or under applying. This solution offers the use of the complete CPU lid surface for heat dissipation with a unique phase changing metal alloy thermal interface material.

The MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 will be available for the following socket solutions at the price point listed:

- Intel Socket 1155/1156 - $19.99
- Intel Socket 2011 - $29.99
- AMD - all open lid - $19.99

The EPIC T1000 will be available for purchase on www.maingear.com as a part of their full integrated systems as well as individually with other online retail stores such as: Amazon, FrozenCPU and Performance PCS.

"The MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 is a powerhouse TIM that should be included in any high performance system build." Said Mark Frig, CEO of Frozen CPU. "FrozenCPU carries the highest performing enthusiast components for the DIY PC market and we're happy to include the MAINGEAR EPIC T1000 amongst our stable of products."

"The EPIC T1000 when combined with the EPIC 180 is a potent combination. We found that it gave us quite a boost in terms of stability and performance." Said Sean Kalinich, Editor in Chief of Decryptedtech.com.

"If you are an extreme enthusiast and want to squeeze every last drop of performance out of your system a product like Maingear's EPIC T1000 is exactly the last piece in the cooling puzzle. The 11% gain in cooling performance with a fairly aggressive overclock is simply awe inspiring." - Legit Reviews, Editor's Choice.

"The EPIC T1000 is a testament to our commitment to constantly looks for ways to improve and innovative the PC performance and experience. We are developing unique solutions that help make PCs faster and quieter while still retaining a tasteful sense of style." Said Wallace Santos, Founder and CEO of MAINGEAR.

Select MAINGEAR SHIFT, F131, VYBE and X-Cube custom pcs will have the option of selecting the EPIC T1000. All MAINGEAR EPIC solutions are geared towards maximizing custom built PCs while enhancing the overall experience.

All of MAINGEAR products are supported with lifetime labor and phone support with one to three year hardware warranty.

Depending on contact, yes it does:

And unless you know you you have an "extremely well designed mounting system with extermely high mounting pressure and a block with a compressible bow" you can even disregard the "great contact" graphs.

One thing I can vouch for: if the IHS and the heatsink/waterblock aren't lapped perfectly flat than any result is pretty much compromised. And as I can clearly see legitreviews are using an unlapped cpu.

Lets just say they invalidated their results by "accident". Too bad some folks read and follow these kind of tests blindly.

FreedomEclipseSo this is like some metal shim that goes between the cooler and the CPU that supposed to improve the transfer of heat????
Sorry to say this but Coollaboratory are already inb4u with their Liquid MetalPad
from what i hear it was pretty medicre too with normal liquid based TIMs being a fair step ahead of it in performance...
Liquid MetalPad has been out for a long long time now yet nobody uses it
Since you NEVER used the product I have to correct in your assumptions. Also, where did you "hear" this information? It's amazing that people still preach on things they haven't personally even used and yet they still feel like they have a say in it. Since I've personally used and tested this ETI I can tell you this is BY FAR THE BEST THAT THERE IS ON THE MARKET !!! NOTHING COMES CLOSE !!! Don't believe me? Look at the PROOF !!!:

skinneelabs.com/2011-tim-results/3/

Look at the - GREAT CONTACT PERFORMANCE pic

Also, when I had to take off the ETI (i.e.; "TIM"), all I had to do was peel it off and that was it. No residue - NOTHING. Once in a blue moon I had to just use a my microfiber towel or the edge of my fingernail to flake off a speck here or there, but the amazing thing is I didn't have to use any solvent AT ALL if I chose not to. My nickel plated head from my Koolance CPU-360 & CPU-370 was just as "mirror finished" as it was the day I bought it when I peeled it off. Here's a web link so you can see a perfect example of it for yourself:

lab501.ro/racire/cele-mai-bun...bon-vs-oxizi/8

Take a look at this video review for further proof that this is the BEST ETI (replacement for TIM) out there:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZsWp...ture=endscreen

A 4 TO 6C TEMP DROP, when compared to your average TIM (like Arctic Silver 5)? That's just amazing !!! Also, NOT having to change this ETI but every 2 years is also incredible. Anyone that can get their hands on this stuff now would be wise to do it. I only say this because maybe a year or two from now Maingear may stop selling it because the process of installing it alone might discourage potential buyers; watch this tutorial and you'll see what I'm what I'm talking about:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8fS20W_low

Again, it might be a little painstaking, but even a complete n00b (like I once was when I tried this out), can do it... then anyone can. If you have an hour on your hands along with some time and patience, you can do this. Just follow the vid instructions (above). Here's their website and info on the product if anyone is interested - BY THE WAY, THEY SUPPLY TWO (2) of the the ETI's (just in case you mess up on the first try):

www.enerdynesolutions.com/prod_indigo.html

And where you can go to purchase the Indigo Xtreme:

www.sidewindercomputers.com/inxtforincoi1.html

www.frozencpu.com/products/96..._-_2_Pack.html

and the "new" EPIC T1000 by Maingear (formally Enderdyne Solutions):

www.amazon.com/MAINGEAR-T1000...ZK?ref=prid-20&tag=tec06d-20

PS - Please don't talk smack about a product you haven't used...

Also, in response to halfwaythere:
halfwaythereSorry but I don't buy that. Not even Liquid pro managed to destroy anything:
lab501.ro/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/indigo_2-393x580.PNG
I personally used Coollaboratory Liquid Pro (CLP) and it not only worked just as good as the Indigo Extreme but it also TOOK OFF THE NICKEL PLATING on my Koolance CPU-370 (NOT GOOD :twitch:). With the ETI from Indigo Xtreme (or now, Maingear's EPIC T1000) IT NEVER DID THAT; IT JUST PEELED RIGHT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH - AND STILL MAINTAINED THE MIRROR FINISH. Plus, the way CLP's compound works, it will start to not only to fail over a 6 month time frame, but when it's time to replace it; becomes "powdery" in it's used state. And since it's a type of "metal," it could flake off and get on your other metal parts of your mobo and whatnot (again, NOT GOOD :().

The next best thing to use (if you're going to us a TIM) is Prolimatech PK-1 or Phobya HeGrease (although I haven't used Phobya's product line yet, it's still a paste) and both still almost match the temps of the Indigo Xtreme - OOPS, Sorry; I mean "EPIC T1000" and won't have the same bad side affects as you would find in CLP... Later...
