The 550 and 650 watts are fully modular versions of the Seasonic G platform where the rest of the GS series are KM3 based.

No, it is not G series from the look inside. It looks likes Seasonic made a brand new design for EVGA.

EVGA is on a roll with PSUs in the last year or so. Extremely affordable, top notch PSUs. Excellent scores and reviews from JonnyGuru and the likes. Id love to put the GS 1050 in my rig.
