Samsung Reveals 860 Pro 4TB SSD on its Website Listing

Samsung has unwittingly released some specs and product images of the as of yet unannounced SSD product. The 860 Pro SSD carries the model number MZ-76P4T0E, and has a pretty impressive 4 TB capacity that's sure to deliver the highest performance possible on the SATA III interface. The stated performance levels stand at 560 MB/s read speeds, and 530 MB/s write, which should be more than enough for most usage tasks. Pricing is also more than enough, and then some; Samsung is quoting a $1,899 pricing for this particular drive.

I just hope warranty doesnt get culled and stays similar to previous generation.
also it iss nearly 2x the price of recentl released crucial mx500 or even 850evo

You should calm down FB announcement headline attitude and style, whoever makes them. TPU is a respectable source not a yellow press trash.

Though, if someone wants zero compromise massive storage for a laptop, this thing is awesome.

1000 $ too high price According to the announced decrease in operating costs. I would like to, but I can not sell my kidney every year to restore and upgrade My PC. The priority of the weight to the new CPU RAM and M.B ,Grrrr I want also this beauty.

This is the Samsung product that I have been searching for for probably months now; well, one of them anyway. The only problem with this thing is price and I think that Samsung is one of the only major vendors that even sells an ssd in this capacity so it's basically this, or nothing. I need 3 or 4 of these. I've been waiting since the release of their 1st generation 4tb ssd's, hoping they would eventually come down in price, but no dice.....yet.

Kinda pricey for 4tb, most 1tb are around $300-350. I would think this SSD would be closer to $1000-1300, maybe add and extra 200 for the memory shortage.

They are selling it for that much because they can. There aren't many single drives of such capacity. Because some don't want to RAID them or have option to use more of them...

Most of those are TLC not MLC... wait for the 860 evo, or just get the 4tb pm863/evo now... you can routinely get those new "other" pulls on ebay for 1k.

And yet still no fix for the borked 960 Pro firmware remedy. Would not be buying Sammy SSD any time soon. I'd rather go Crucial or Intel for now.

Are you kidding? I've just paid a little under $250 for my MX300. The newly released MX500 is a little under $260 (MSRP).
