Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered Releasing November 6th

Feel the thrill of the chase and the rush of escape in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 6, and to Nintendo Switch on November 13! Ten years ago, Criterion Games released their critically acclaimed franchise debut Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. It introduced NFS and racing fans to the winding, open roads of Seacrest County, Criterion's renowned feel for breakneck speed and gameplay, and the innovative Autolog system, empowering true social competition between friends.

Ever since, we've heard so many stories about the triumphant moments and heated rivalries Autolog fostered. Some of which run very, very deep. Unleash a savage sense of speed both as an outlaw and a cop in this timeless racing experience updated for today's platforms. Get cross-platform multiplayer and Autolog, enhanced visuals, all main DLC delivered at launch, and much more. It's time to reignite the pursuit.
Race Your Friends with Cross-Platform Multiplayer and Autolog

Bolt down Seacrest County headfirst behind the wheels of the world's hottest high-performance cars, in racing that is socially competitive at its core. Connect with your friends in cross-platform, head-to-head pursuits and races, or get challenges delivered based on their activity for asynchronous competition through the highly dynamic Autolog system.

Autolog is also supported with cross-platform sync, so you can make a mark on your friends' Speedwalls no matter if they're playing on PS4, Xbox One, PC, or Nintendo Switch.

Enjoy Loads of Extra Content and Updates

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered includes all main DLC - the SCPD Rebel Racer Pack, Super Sports Pack, Armed & Dangerous Pack, Lamborghini Untamed Pack, and Porsche Unleashed Pack - delivered at launch, with an extra six hours of gameplay and more than 30 challenges.

We've added brand new achievements, car colors, wraps, reduced hard stops, an updated photo mode and gallery, and multiple quality of life updates, too, to create an even more well-rounded gameplay experience this time around.

Chase and Escape with Weaponized Supercars

It wouldn't be a Hot Pursuit without pushing the world's most desirable supercars to their limits - on both sides of the law. Bust suspects in supercharged cop interceptors enhanced with tactical weaponry, or level the playing field with counterattacks and defensive maneuvers as an elite racer. Strategize to gain an edge over the competition, no matter what side you're on!

A deep and fully-defined single-player career delivers the action of both sides, with a seamlessly linked multiplayer experience across all race modes. Take on friends or play through the career solo to earn Bounty and unlock new cars, weapons, and equipment.

Experience a Timeless Racing Game with Enhanced Visuals

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered has been upgraded for today's generation of hardware with enhanced visuals. The Nintendo Switch version runs at 1080p/30 FPS in docked mode (720p/30 FPS undocked) and includes higher-resolution models, more objects and props, longer draw distance, higher resolution shadows, and improved videos.

Depending on your specifications, 4K/60 FPS is supported on PC, and players can choose between 4K/30 FPS or 1080p/60 FPS on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Base versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will run the game at 1080p/30 FPS. In addition to the listed improvements for the Nintendo Switch version, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions are also updated with upressed UI, higher resolution reflections, boosted textures, more particles, and improved AA/SSAO.

Get ready for a heart-pumping and socially competitive racing experience faithfully recreated by Stellar Entertainment, featuring ex-Criterion talent and previously responsible for the critically acclaimed Burnout Paradise Remastered.

The original Hot Pursuit was really great. Hot Pursuit 2 was the last one I cared about, it all became a product placement mess after that.

Does "remaster" include 2020 DRM, anti-tamper and such?

Oh, I was hoping for a NFS HP2 update. :(

The trailer video was excellent - the first 90 secs at least - then it was in-game, with NOX buttons, machine guns, and other arcade console tat.

There is ONLY ONE NFS > Porsche Unleashed / 2000

As someone who is not into racing games, i really enjoyed Hot Pursuit 2010, the game play was so much fun, felt so polished, and i played it for countless hours.

This was my last NFS game that i thoroughly enjoyed, every entry after it, especially the ones built on frostbite just felt off ( weird feel of speed and bizarre weighty feeling to the gameplay ) that it never clicked with me.

It is reported that Criterion ( developers of this game and burnout ) will be making the next NFS game so hopefully it lives to the game play of this game at least, Criterion makes awesome racing games

TomorrowI disagree. And so would many others. Some the Block Box released titles were genuinely good and engaging.
If i had to point at a game that finally broke the camel's back so to speak it has to be ProStreet released in 2007. It's predecessor Carbor was already iffy and i did try ProStreet but quickly abandoned it. After that only ones i've played was HP in 2010 (the one being remastered now, completed it) and the 2012's MW reboot that was horrible and i quit after 5 min of frustration.

I have not even played any of the newer ones from the past 8 years.
Tho i agree that i would have like to have seen the 1998 version remastered instead.
There are a lot of games that are good by themselves, but terrible as sequels. Porsche was the last good NFS for me. Then was the terrible console port of HP2 (the amount of bad in this game is astounding and no, the PS2 version isn't much better), but it still kept the spirit of the series. However, when Underground came, riding on the "fast&furious" fame wave, I lost all hope for one of my favourite series to ever come back. It was less "supercars hype" and more "big-titted half-naked chicks (even in winter) + tuning + boost + drift".

Now that I think of it, it kinda resembles what's going on with RGB in PCs - yeah, it's flashy, edgy, looks... "cool?", but it's not what we ever expected from it - we wanted performance+silence.

NightWhat about Most Wanted 2005 and U/U2? Something that would be worth getting.
Truly agree. The best ones of the series without a doubt.

Gotta agree. After HP2, the feel was gone. It went from games that I wanted to play to games that had morphed into something only my kids liked.

I'd hardly call it a PoS as it's one of the most popular and polished games in the series.
I've enjoyed countless hours of fun in Hot Pursuit but this remaster doesn't do anything for me at all.

They should just remake Underground and MW 2005. Then I would love my life more than ever.

VR support would make them more than perfect.

From underground, I remember the Peugeot 206 that could go 0-60 in under 3s. From MW I remember the half-hour long (or longer) repetitive chases. These two alone made me quit the franchise. With no regret.

Yeah, this is where I was going: tastes can be that different.

While the chases weren't that bad, it got really boring, really fast when you had to evade a number of helicopters, but you had to run around evading other things for half an hour, just to stir things up enough so helis will start showing up. Plus, I was pretty jaded after the previous two Underground titles.

I can feel u there, I also hated that when you had to be evading cops for a hella long time. To be honest, I didn't even complete that one and an another one which was as annoying, so I had like 97% completion.
