Phanteks Announces Glacier One All-in-One Liquid CPU Coolers

Phanteks today announced their very first all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, the Glacier One 240MP, 240MPH, 280MP and 360MP. Developed in collaboration with Asetek, they are capable of cooling powerful CPUs while operating silently. The Glacier One is optimized to offer a noise-performance ratio that is best in class with the new silent Phanteks MP fans that now have a higher maximum RPM (2000-2200RPM). The new 120/140 MP PWM fans are premium cooling fans designed with radiators and heatsinks in mind and will also be available separately with the Glacier One launch.

The Glacier One coolers feature a tempered glass infinity mirror pump cap with smooth D-RGB lighting integration. There is also a white edition, the 240MPH, that comes with additional white HALOS D-RGB fan frames to light up the MP fans. The full cover pump cap has a low-profile design that can be mounted magnetically to the pump module to cover all mounting parts, which creates a clean and integrated appearance with the motherboard. Installation is a breeze thanks to the pre-filled all-in-one solution, better clearances, flexible braided tubing and Phanteks Tube Clips that help route the tubing and fan cables for a clean PC interior.
Cooled by Asetek, the new Glacier One is powered by the highly reliable Gen7 pump from Asetek. With their technical expertise and many years of experience, the Gen7 pump ensures reliable operation and cooling performance.

Phanteks fans are pricey and I think worth it. I've been eyeing a new AIO, the one I have is going on 6 years old now.

I find their 120MM fans to be extremely good, but their 140mm don't move enough air for AIO - very quiet but extremely anemic I have 2 in my rig. The Noctuas and Arctic Bionix 140mm tend to do much better overall.

Dammit....

I saw the word Glacier & got all hopeful that maybe, just maybe, someone, anyone, had finally come out with a 100% TRULY ALL-WHITE cooler for my next Snowblind build this spring... but then I clicked on the thread and what do I find ?????

Yet ANUTHA fuggly, multi-colored, r.friggin.g.friggin.b.friggin-ized clustercrap...

geezzusss is it REALLY that friggin hard ???

I do however like the shape/design of the pump block though, so at least there's that :)

Just the other day I was thinking, "why doesn't Phanteks make AIO's" and today, BAM! :D :laugh:

Might have to see how these perform and then think about selling my H100i RGB PRO XT. It's the only non Phanteks source of cooling in my case, lol. And dare I say, I'm actually digging the white version of the 240!

I wish companies would make silver variants too, though, in addition to black and white.

Just think outside the box dude. Get a white pastel marker, paint, spray can and color whatever you want white.

I have the 140mm MPs -- those are the ones on my current rad as well -- they go up to 1600 rpm but that fan blade design they HARDLY push any air through the rad (Nemesis GTS rad, 16 FPI) even when i take my front panel off, and my temps are not great with them on (at least not great for a 280mm rad). Noise wise they are great, but I don't really want to watch my temps creep into the 90's when they could be in the low 80's.

For reference the MPs are:


The SPs are like this:


I haven't tried the SP's but they are limited to about 1200-rpm afaik, and that definitely won't be good unless you have a ton of radiator or you just want pure silence at all times.

I have around 3 of the MP 120mm, all mounted on the front of my Evolv mATX. I like them but they do have a tendency to get a bit noisy sometimes. I was going to get a 140mm one for the rear but I just went ahead and made use of the rear fan that came with the case :)

Does the evolv x matx have the lovely cable cover panels? just wondering, i have the full Atx version and love it to bits. i am using all corsair fans though with 3x140F in, 2x140T out and 1x140R out.

You might need to go with a push-pull on that radiator. Thats what I did and didnt have a problem when both gpu mining and ( what does SETI call it? I forget..) cpu folding(?) at the same time. But then again I have a larger case with exceptional airflow.

So you are suggesting that I attempt to correct the mfgr's failure to comprehend the meaning of the word "WHITE" and/or "GLACIAL" by paying even moar money for paint/markers etc and then mucking around with what I would consider a half-assed work around....

yeah, they're definitely needs to be more white options in PC hardware, I had to custom plasti dip many of my components (did it with a professional spray gun and a gallon of white plasti dip)

Yes it is, but it can be very messy if you don't have steady hands and/or pay close attention to how it flows as it starts to dry...

I use it on all my tools, on the handles/grips etc. I found that it works as good as those so called "electricans" tools that are specially coated to be non-conductive/shock proof AND are way more expensive compared to their lower-priced cousins :)

The best Phanteks rad fans were these for some reason they are 3 times the price I paid for them in 2015. I have used the fans above and there is no contest between the 2 when it comes to rads.

Well, yeah, that's exactly what he was saying, lol. If a part doesn't look the way you want, nothing wrong with customizing it. Within reason, of course - in other words, if you want a truly white motherboard where EVERYTHING is white, you're sadly out of luck when it comes to customizing it, because if you don't prep it EXTREMELY WELL, chances are good that you'll end up bricking the damn thing. But if you want your GPU shroud or whatever to be a different color, nothing wrong with busting out a spray can or two. My dad and I did exactly that with my Sapphire 280X Tri-X back in the day :pimp:
