ASUS China Previews "Hatsune Miku" Crossover GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Card
Late last week, the Chinese ASUS branch started to tease a forthcoming ROG and TUF Gaming x Hatsune Miku collection. Eagle-eyed PC gaming hardware watchdogs spotted an intriguing custom GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB graphics card model within a messy pile of colorful brand-new products. The manufacturer has teamed up with Crypton Future Media; this collaboration is advertised as bringing "a cybernetic fusion to gaming." Initial announcements focused on peripherals, but shortly thereafter the partners unveiled a Hatsune Miku-themed pre-built system. VideoCardz spent its weekend investigating the mysterious new "RTX 5060 Ti O8G" design. A follow-up article pulled information and imagery from Tony Wu's "world premiere" bilibili video—the general manager of ASUS China showcased various upcoming products, including a relevant white triple-fan graphics card.
According to reports, Wu did not disclose an exact model name—NVIDIA and board partners are expected to make new entrants "official" at some point this week. Wu's demonstration unit was visually matched up to the teased "RTX 5060 Ti O8G" card. Additionally, Wu and colleagues presented the entire Hatsune Miku product line during a major press conference; last Saturday (April 12) in Changsha. Many items have already launched to market, through JD.com. Naturally, pricing and availability details were not mentioned during their "GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB OC" segment. The factory overclocked "RTX 50-series" card's unique white design is outfitted with a single 8-pin power connector; suggesting a tentative entry level price bracket. The backplate is decorated with mascot illustrations—TechPowerUp and other media outlets have noticed an uptick in "cute girl" drawings turning up on housings and retail packaging. ZOTAC joined in on the fun very recently; as reported last week.

It's a nice looking card, too bad that is the 8GB version though. But I really like the keyboard.
Ugh, can we PLEASE, for the love of jeebus, bury this waifu/sakura-themed garbage alongside that damn Atari E.T. game where it belongs?
Her software is old, being released in the early 2000's. Originally just the personification it eventually turned into merchandise like hello kitty or other content like it.
This was before we actually had to worry about AI actually replacing human-made art, so in retrospect it might be a little uncanny. It truly wasn't for a long time, though. More-so unique/endearing.
Of the possibilities; not the actuality we more-or-less have now.
Miss Future Sound was the original waifu, outside of Rei (Evangelion) imo. A little too on-the-nose perhaps, as the Yeston (et al) models just allude to such things without spending the money on big-name licensing.
...and I kind of prefer it that way. Although I'm sure some (especially in the East) that enjoy the actual licensed motifs. No? Especially when you realize this is for a 5060Ti 8GB, a card that most enthusiasts in their right mind wouldn't buy anyway? That's also kind of the joke...A little too over some peoples' head, IG.
Most of these things happen on cards that are old and/or in high supply (with large margin or low cooling requirements), generally speaking. Hence this hurts exactly nobody while surely making some peoples' day.
You may scoff at the sakura-themed PCs, but I actually think they're kind of great. It's something many peoples' mom/wife/whatever would actually probably prefer if they had the choice.
And maybe now some of them will be more into this stuff, or at least ways to express that/their personality within it, which is cool, because why not?
If you wanted to argue cherry blossoms are a very special and uniquely Japanese thing that shouldn't be overexposed in media/marketing/products, that's truly fair, but I also think that ship has LONG sailed.
If anyone over seas can get me one HMU.
but tariffs man
SevenStars representation non-negotiable, although if it smelled like BlackStone Swishers that's also acceptable.
But, you know, I could always just go listen to people that have embodied her likeness, perhaps like Saiki (Atsumi), and sometimes that's enough. No buffer limitations required.
Still, obscure stuff that embodies two or more of your interests simultaneously you can put on a shelf and/or hang on the wall (if not actually kinda-sorta arguably use)...still kinda cool, even if not the 'best' product.
It's still wild how what started as a basic voice synthesizer that sang lyrics and notes programmed in its software became a cultural phenomenon that has endured this long. Sure, it's not yet perfect and can still sound obviously artificial, but it's been evolving to become more and more natural over time.
Its funny though that ASUS is trying to do what Yeston has been doing. I'm sure they waited to do this with the 5060Ti because they wanted this to sell well.. assuming they're selling it separately. (cant tell if the article is saying its only selling WITH the prebuilt, my eyes are a little wonky today.)
