OCZ Unveils the Vanquisher CPU Cooler

OCZ Technology Group today announced the OCZ Vanquisher CPU cooler, a much-anticipated expansion of their cooling product line. Using a highly efficient and compact design, the Vanquisher is an enthusiast-grade thermal solution for the latest high performance processors. Catering to the needs of gamers and enthusiasts, the Vanquisher will become an integral addition to any extreme-performance gaming rig.

The OCZ Vanquisher aggressively cools your CPU thanks to a pure copper base plate and three copper heat pipes that rapidly transfer heat away from the processor up to the dense, aluminum fin array where the thermal load is quickly dissipated by the included 92mm fan. The efficient heatpipe design moves so much heat that the fin array is able to transfer up to 200 Watts. The Vanquisher also utilizes a unique low speed fan mounted with rubber connectors to effectively decrease vibration and noise, ensuring minimal distractions at your workstation.

"The performance of OCZ Vanquisher is not compromised due to its compact size," states Jacky Huang, VP of Product Management, OCZ Technology. "Instead, it reduces the CPU temperature more effectively than many larger coolers in the market. As a bonus, its compact form factor allows it to fit in even most crowded environments and cases."

The extremely compact and versatile OCZ Vanquisher CPU cooler is compatible with sockets AMD 754/939/AM2 and Intel 775. Because no motherboard back plate is required, the hassle-free Vanquisher is installed quickly and easily for consumers of all skill levels. With no need to remove your motherboard to install this cooler, the OCZ Vanquisher can get right to work cooling your CPU and enhancing your computing experience in seconds.

Light-weight and quiet, compact yet highly resourceful, the OCZ Vanquisher provides superior and reliable cooling with its state-of-the-art design for enthusiasts looking to upgrade for better performance and improved system stability.

that is a piss poor effort on OCZ's part. I love most of their products but this seems like a case of "couldn't be bothered"...

what happened to that fan dangle bloody cpu cooler they were making... Can't remember what it was called but it looked pretty deadly.... I don't think it was ever released but.

looks more like the sunbeam Silent Whisper cooler than the arctic cooling model if you ask me.

I dont really like the idea of OCZ essentially re-releasing the same thing other companies have already made, but you have to start somewhere when you enter the cooling business, besides im sure OCZ doesnt make or design these things, its probably some big OEM that makes products for other companies. Either way, if its a good performer at a decent price I'd probably use or recommend it regardless if its a knock off or an original, bottom line is how much is it gunna cost to get something that performs well and doesnt make a lot of noise.

Actually, they went with a proven winners, design. Everyone knows the AC Pro 64 is one of the best thermal solutions around. OCZ just shaved a little here and made it pull more heat away.

Musselsthey even say it can take 200W of heat.. the freezer 7 cant do that. So unless it really is upgraded, its gunna suck in a lot of people.

Shame on OCZ really... and most people know i'm a big OCZ fan/
I think that says it all.
