VVIKOO Releases the GeForce 8800GT MAX Graphics Card with 1GB GDDR3 Memory

The Paris-based GeForce manufacturer VVIKOO, has just announced a new graphics card based on the 65nm G92 GPU. The GeForce 8800GT MAX is just what its name suggests, a non-reference card that features all-copper Zalman cooler (VF1000) that takes up two slots and 1GB of GDDR3 memory working at stock frequency (1800MHz). According to VVIKOO, the Zalman cooler drops the GPU idle temps down from 60'C to 40'C, while when in load the drop is from 89'C to 54'C. The GeForce 8800GT MAX's price tag has not been announced.

I think it's a reference board just with a violet (WTF) solder mask and a Zalman on top.

which is exactly what the original reference board needed.. a decent cooler.. if the price is right it sounds okay.. bet it aint thow.. he he..

^^^nah, i think the 256 mem bandwidth will still choke it.


cant wait till some others start to bring more of these out with aftermarket coolers on.

How would the width of the vrm sink indicate there's more than 2 phases?
The missing phase on GT is in the middle.

any point in me upgrading from my x800gto to a 8800gt now really as theres the 9000 series around the corner and my birthday is in February i think i can wait until then if its better to wait

this looks cool tho as i like the purple pcb and the cooler is what it needed

having a different color PCB is always interesting than the typical red and green, once in awhile a blue may show up then and now and orange for mother boards but violet is fairly odd choice lol...haha............black is starting to show some normalcy among computer hardware...im up for companies using different methods of selling

It wouldn't, just that it can't be a reference PCB. Just that Palit has those mosfets in a line, not in a triangle like reference board.
