Intel Prepares Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad Price Cuts on October 19th

New reports suggest that on October 19th (on my birthday) Intel is planning to cut the prices of several Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors. According to the report on that date prices of the 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 and the 2.3GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 will drop from $193 to $183, and from $224 to $193 respectively. Intel's dual-core 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo E7300 will fall from $133 to $113. In addition the company plans to introduce a new 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo E7400 part on that date too.Source: HEXUS.net

Oh, how cute. They must be doing the price cuts just for you... ;)

Nonetheless, interesting info. Q6600 remains an all-time-great. Still a very competitive CPU.

... much easier to read than all this "respectively" FIFO reverse logic.

hell, when they drop the price of the e8600...THEN I will be interested, it still hasn't changed a penny since it's release:(, the e8500 is still a 100 $ cheaper and not all that different (just different enough for me to want to wait for the e8600 to come down in price).
