Massive price drops coming for ATI X1K graphic cards

ATI is getting ready for the launch of NVIDIAs 7900 series, and will be slashing prices. After the price-drop, the Radeon X1900 XTX will cost $549, the X1900 XT will set you back $479, while the Radeon X1800 XT products should cost around $299 for the 256MB, but more for the 512MB parts. Additionally, ATI is expected to introduce Radeon X1800 XL 512MB for $299 and drop the price of the Radeon X1800 XL 256MB. NVIDIA on the other hand may drop the price of the Geforce 7800 GTX 512MB to $399. The upcoming Radeon X1800 GTO will have a price-range of $199 - $249 and said that the Radeon X1600 XT as well as the X1600 Pro will have recommended pricing of $149 and $109.

I can already find the x1600xt for $150. Hmm, but at least this time ATI is doing something opposed to when the 7800s came out.

haha, always good for the consumer. If I stay in Toronto for University, I'd go get me one of those 1900XT's. Hehe :D
