I just installed the 8.10 drivers and i'm not getting the option for the manual fan control i was wondering is this option only for the 4800 series or what cuz i'm running the 3870 and i don't get the option to control the fan or am i missing something here can anybody help me

beh thats stupid why make it for only one series of cards meh W/E i will just do the profile manual fan control hack again it works just the same

The reason they only do it for 4800 series im guessing is because its a new card and everyone is moaning about the heat they make so that probly turns some people off and they go buy a different card .. from nvidia or a lower ati product .. thats just a guess .. or it could be that they are getting huge amount of complaints only about the 4800 series heat

seems a bit daft really, my x1900xt gets up to 90c without fan control, have to use ati tool. much rather just use ccc, so why exclude other cards that obviously need it!

Perhaps this is a question for ATi. Send some catalyst feedback to them and see what you get for a response.:)

C'mon guys, just download RBE and use its CCC profile editor to access fan control. 3xx0 cards supported as well. No BIOS editing/flashing necessary. :cool:
