theyve been trading since 1984. open'd up another 2 or 3 branches within spitting distance of each other then at some point lost their map of LOLREALITY.

Let me put it this way - a Sapphire HD3850 512MB DDR3 on AGP is a lot easier & cheaper to get. as for the MAC thing - I suppose they dumped AGP support a LOOOONNG TIME ago. so its Hello PCI-E Nvidia 8600's for them

Believe it or noy, that price isn't too bad for the Mac edition 9600Pro. They can charge outragous prices because a lot of times that is the only option for a lot of people with older Mac computers.

The Mac edition hardware from back when Mac specific hardware was required, is usually insanely priced.

Nope, just really clueless resellers. I'm pretty sure standard PC video cards work on Macs now as long as one of Apple's machines have the same card, ie there is a kext file for that particular gpu.
