where can I buy prephiral cords?

I've been putting this computer together for the past 3 hours, and I forgot to buy prephiral cords. Not to mention my wrist strap's clip has fallen off twice when touching the motherboard, while I'm sitting on a carpet. Anyways, where can I buy the prepherial cords. I don't care where, even if it's wal mart, I just need to know where I can buy them. Oh, and I need one for my hard drive, and I need something to connect from my PSU to my dvd drive, hard drive, fans, and graphics card.

If you need them like now. Shop around Circuit City (they need the business), Staples, Radio Shack, Best Buy, or Orifice Max(Office Max).

Depends on what you are looking for, they have a few things, but not to much for the cabling to the momma board(mother). Mostly External cabling. I don't do to much Wally World.

Come to think of it, every Wal-Mart around here has a Radio Shack within 100 yards.

lol, not in the ky. Also, how likely is that I shocked my motherboard? It is not to humid inside, it touched my shirt once, and I've touched it twice when my wrist strap clip fell off the case.

theres a low chance that you fried it, as long as you touch the metal(unpainted) in your case, you're grounded. i just touch the case metal and then work on my comp with no problems.

Crap, I had it connected to the side pannels, but the back side is unpainted.

He's right, as long as you discharge your self and don't go sliding across the carpet you probably ok.

Staples online has free overnight shipping for any order of $50 or more. We don't carry the cords in store though, so I'm not sure if they would be online.

I think you are a little bit nervous about static. But thats a good thing that you know how serious i could be. If you can.. move your PC onto a table or atleast put something under it to help prevent it from happening. And if you have to work on it on carpet.. just dont work on in wearing socks.. keep your shoes on.

Not all shoes prevent static buildup, the best way I find to avoid static is to just build barefooted.

I went to the nearest best buy, circuit city, and radio shack, which is all an hour away, and none of them had any cords. Ok, so I have a favor to ask. I'm looking for something durible, good and cheap. Can someone sugget mme something that is like that. I need 2 sata power connectors, a fan connector or 2 (If they have one that connects to two case fans, then I'd like that), 3 4-pin molex connectors, and 2 6 pin PCIe power connectors.
