i got my quad in a p5n-e sli board now, which refuses to oc it any. i've tried and tried to overclock, but it just wont get stable in the 650i chipset board.

looking to see if there is any intrest in trading for a e8xxx series chip.

i've gotten the q6600 up to 4.0 under water and ran it @ 3.6 24/7 under a tuniq tower. that was in a maximus formula flashed to a rampage. and also in a abit ip35-e board. for some reason in the maximus it always needed more vcore to run stabil. but in the abit board it ran 3.6 with 1.42volts vcore.

this screen cap is in the maximus.

if you look in the task bar you see the temps, it always ran cool for me.

srry no pics in the abit board.

Please read the rules of the "for sale" forum.

When posting in FS/FT, you must follow these guidelines-

Only post in a FS/FT thread if you are...
1) Bumping the thread. (Once every 24 hours for sellers)
2) Interested in the item and asking a question.
3) Negotiating the price of an item you want to buy. (But this should be done through private messages.)

Don't do these things in FS/FT threads:
1) Argue over whether prices are fair, or...
2) ...say that something else is cheaper elsewhere.
3) Argue with other members.

Also

The person posting this thead must have physical proof of the item. A picture of the processor with your name on a piece of paper in the picture. Threads that do not meet these requirements will be closed.

I have considered going with a Q6600 again though ranger, I miss my old one from time to time, at the same time I'm pretty happy with my e8600 @ 4.5GHz...but my curiosity would be what vid is that quad of yours? Mine needed 1.42v for 3.6GHz, iirc it had a VID of 1.325v.

the vid is 1.275. but i have a trade pending.

the reason i want to trade is because a quad at 2.4 is slower than a dual core at 4.0

I wouldn't trade out of my quad for a dual.

your quad is much higher end than his quad, and any e8xxx will outperform a 9650 in gaming, if you are a gamer.
I do have an e8500 that does 4.5 on air, but im not sure if i would want to trade it for a the oldest quad in retail, although the 6600s are some of the best quads ever made.
ill have to think about it.
