Watercooling

How exactly does the whole system work? From what I understand, the radiator cools the water, and the pump pushes the water in a cycle thru the components.

I can't seem to find a thread or article about this so links would be greatly appreciated.

Or you could just explain here, that would be cool too.

if you are new to water cooling i recomend starting with a water cooling kit, Swiftech H20 220 Compact is excellent for beginners and is a great kit, its only $130:

no, the pump is an mcp350, its an excellent pump, same as the dcc-1 (9W). with a single simple soldering you can modify it into a mcp 355. The apogee drive is composed by a swiftech apogee gt waterblock and a mcp350 on the top of it. When disassembled, the pump can accomodate whatever top want, from pertra's to ek's ones, which greatly increase the performance of the pump itself. The best upgrade to that (already good) kit is:

soldering (cost 0$ LOL)
new top for the mcp350 + new cpu waterblock (70+$, depending on what you chose)

here is a link to martinm's test with that pump. Martinm is one of the most famous watercoolers and he tested tons of stuff, so he is an expert.

Careful... Not all MCP350's can be modded in this way. Look on martins site for more info...
I think its only the older orange impeller ones. But don't take my word for it...

I'm running:

1-350 w/petra's top
1-350 w/XSPC top
1-355 w/XSPC top

Watercooling is a nice hobby, but takes a lot of time and care, even with the kits you might have problems. Generally avoid anything coolermaster. I bought a ready made rig and regretted it.
If your looking for an easy overclock stick with air. If your looking for a new project move to watercooling.

Both my 350's have black impellers and my 355 has a blue one.
