Hello,

My friend has an Asus HD4850 which gets quite warm and is noisy. That's why I want another GPU cooler. Which would you suggest and why? His budget is ~25 USD .

Thanks

Why not just turn the fan up on the stock cooler? Mabye, reapply some MX-2 to it.

He is already complaining the stock cooler it's noisy...

That little 8000+ rpm's fan sounds like a minature leafblower, to me was unbearable, and my office it's quite noisy.

Same VGA card as mine. Stock cooling is terrible, modding the bios keeps the card cool but makes you deaf in 10 minutes . Solved the problem with an Akasa Neo Vortexx

1) Stock cooling + stock bios idle temp ~85 C
2) Stock cooling + fan @ 50+ % idle temp ~ 55 C but load as hell
3) Vortex @ default 2500 rpm idle temp ~ 35 C and almost no noise

Ambient temperature 26-28 C
