Nintendo DSi Release

The next hand held console from Nintendo, the Nintendo DSi, will be released in the United States on April 5th for $170. Which is $40 more than what the second gen is currently going for. It too, will not be able to play Game Boy Advanced games.

How do you figure? It's an updated DS with a couple more features. It will sell like crazy, just like the current DS.

Only feature I can pick on is two camera...and that being crappy 0.3 mega pixels.

Yeah it will sell like crazy. When it start advertiseing those little kids are going to get hooked on it, and there not going to care if the camera sucks or anything, its just awesome to them. And if a parent see a new Nintendo product then might as well get it.

I love my DS Lite, but I refuse to buy the DSi because it has no GBA slot. I love the SD slot, but I use the GBA slot quite a bit, so I have no use for it.

And the camera function has always been something I ignore on any console, let alone a handheld.

Dear Customer,

You may have noticed that we have already contacted you this morning regarding the
Nintendo DSi, which was officially announced to the European market today.

Unfortunately we've had a bit of a hiccup!

In this email we listed the new features that can be expected with the DSi on launch.

One of these bullet points stated that the DSi will come with 2 touch screens, unfortunately
this is not the case.

The DSi will come with only one touch screen, the same as the DS, however both screens
on the DSi have been expanded to 3.25inches.

We're obviously sorry for this miscommunication, however we hope you share our colossal
excitement for the DSi release on the 3rd April.

i posted this last year way back on gamepowerup nobody gave a crap about the DSi then no one who is slightly intelligent does now

the only interesting feature is that it is now on par with psp with firmware updates and DLC now available and a card slot but it handicaps itself with gamers coz it has no gba slot and a lot of hardcore gamers liked the gba

psp maybe a more powerful handheld but at least the ds has a few interesting games like mario kart, advance wars, zelda, super mario bros, sonic adventure a few others like moon and metroid prime some others too sure a lot of bull mini game and nintnedog rip offs but a few stand out fun games

psp just has some ea games and killzone and god of war which is good but the crappy analogue ruins the game completely

i have a m3 adapter for my DS so i can get homebrew and moonshell and firmware updates for it and some old emulators

the ds is okay if you get a flashcard like the M3 adapter real which comes with gba slot ram pack and rumble pack or a 2 in one pack i think but without it seems like a kids toy or one for average joe
