Collaboratories Liquid Metal is really good. Its kinda hard to use and it will mess up aluminum heat sinks on contact. But its really really good.

Hey dude, I've always used Arctic Silver 5, always been good for me, any reason why you'd recommend avoiding it?

From what I know of, in the Arctic series the MX-2 is a better thermal paste, although at the time I got into the paste AS5 was the top dog :p -- Can't say about the TX-2 or the OCZ Freeze as I've never used them :D

I would recommend Arctic Cooling MX-2 or the Arctic Silver 5 to you, axel 66.

because it's inferior in every way compared to MX-2, TX-2, freeze and pretty much all of the newer compounds. the new ones dont need to burn in, they arent conductive, they dont dry up as easy and the list goes on.

non-metallic compound is mx-2 AS5 is not

MX-2 has no need for a burn in, AS5 does all non-metalic paste dont need a burn in

it dosnt matter mx-2 is a few degrees cooler than AS5

Yea, AS5 is poor by today's standards

-It's conductive and will kill your hardware if you apply too much
-It requires several hours of "burn-in" before it's fully effective
-It dries out and you have to re-apply it eventually
-MX-2 FTW!
