Left 4 Dead - 1080p High Def anybody?

I love playing Left 4 Dead @ full 1080p on my big screen 46" HDTV, it just looks awesome but I do admit my reflexes get alittle hindered due to how I am sitting on my couch. So guys if I am L4D gaming with you on Steam and you get pounded by a Boomer, Hunter and/or a Smoker, when I was suppose to watch your back, this is why

Nevertheless, it beats my 17" CRT in gaming.

1920x1080p on my 37" and yes it is nice ....I prefer sitting at my desk as from the couch i suffer in reaction time.

Nice. I play my games at 1440x900 on my 19" HDTV with HDMI cable. But the tv is right where my monitor used to be and it is used primarialy as a monitor, but I got other stuff like ps2, tv, dvd player etc hooked to it.

The experience you get from something like that is amazing, however I prefer monitors better. Better reflexes and limited eye-stress depending on size.

I play at 1680x1050 on a 20" Samsung. I tried it on my 40" Sony XBR2 @ 1080p but I just couldn't play sitting far away (the appropiate distance to sit for 40"). My reaction time was so slow.

Just to give you all alittle more detail. I am at least 8 feet away from my 46" HDTV, so I have no eye strain. I do get some eye strain with my 17" Sammy CRT because I am about 2 feet away from that.
I am thinking of getting a table just to put my G15 gaming keyboard and OCZ Equalizer mouse on. I am also left handed with the mouse. I really don't know how people can use the mouse with the right hand :confused:

Now when playing games like Oblivioun, I have no problems because it does not require constant quick reflexes.

I used to play in 1080p on my 22" Asus, but somethings wrong with forcing the image to the edges, so on startup and if i set 1920x1080 - i get a black border. But if i use 1680x1050, it fits perfectly and looks decent, so im happy.

Does look damn good in high resolutions though, and on a 46" TV... well...

Personally I think Toshiba makes the finest HDTV LCD's for Price/Quality/Performance. They are in partnership with Sharp which are the inventors of the LCD Technology. My 46" looks great with standard definition content like DVD's and satelite, but watching HD DVD & Blu-Ray movies along with PC gaming it just blows you away.

HDMI or Compenent:
Component is still the best video quality for analog signal. Its identical to HDMI in 480i/p but lacks 720p/1080p in most cases. Composite is just complete junk.

I play L4D on my 360 but I use a monitor, don't have the money for a nice TV so I just use a 19" monitor and the VGA HD AV cable, 10 times better than using a CRT TV. CRT hurts my eyes and effects my gameplay lol. I had to play CoD4 on my 14" CRT and it did not go well, low resolution and the curved screen messed everything up.

Oh ya ... Blu-Ray is also awsome on my Monitor in the sig....DVI to DVI ...all handshakes take place and that ='s a beautiful HD 1920x1080 picture!Blu-Ray really is nice!

yeah, it's so much nicer having a nice LCD than a crappy CRT. However there are a lot of CRTs with very good image quality (and flat screen...)

I play on my 50"..
I keep a good 6-7 feet away from it.

hope they get some new mods soon..
getting kinda repetitious.

FYI: L4D doesn't use bluray..
Not many games do unfortunately.

It really is sweet, i game at 1920x1080 on my 22" Asus monitor and love it

Yup, I love it, its great on the eyes, but I do admit my reaction time is a little slower just until I can get something more comfortable to place my keyboard and mouse. So if I am supposed to watch your back and a Zombie takes a chunk off your arm, this is the reason why.

Also my 17" CRT Samsung has great PQ at 1600 x 1200. I just love the Magic Bright feature, it really details the picture in the game. It really details the darks.

I have 24" and I think it is too big for shooters. Too big area to scan with eyes. For racing games, Pro Evolution and Fifa the bigger the better.
