I just read about this software in PC World and it is free, so I have not tried it yet...If you have post your thoughts...

Its true that this software does the job .... did not test it ...
but even ACER laptop technicians , promote it under the table . :laugh:

The point is that it needs a big learning curve ... and most users feels negative about starting from scratch the new learning curve .

Acronis make me to become fun of it , due the fact that it does " boot record " copy ,
useful for laptops with special boot record functions as " hidden boot loader for recovery events ) .

I will play with it , if i find some spare time .

Seagate has a re-branded version of Acronis available for free, here:

It will work only with Seagate drives ... thats a minus .

The Seagate and Maxtor versions I encounter only work when you "physically" have one of their HHD's installed so otherwise it won't work.
