2^32=4096

32bit allows a total of 4 gigs amongst ALL memory including vid card memory, etc. This means you'll get somewhere between 3.25-3.5 gigs of ram

Benchmark Scores This varies from one driver to another.
As mentioned above if you use 4Gigs of ram you should see about 3.25Gigs-3.50Gigs but that number may differ based on your PC.

I have a question... IF i had 4Gb of ram and used 512mb of that for my onboard VGA, would that be allowed? as in would it still give me 3.25 - 3.5Gb to use on my system? or would it be deducted from the 3.25 - 3.5Gb you stated it would be left with.

Yes it should but again nothing is guaranteed because PC specs do differ from one user to the next.
