Albatron Starts Selling ATI Radeon Video Cards

Albatron, an official NVIDIA partner, has gently started producing cards from the red camp without making any announcements. So far Albatron was NVIDIA exclusive, but a few more cards in the portfolio, no matter NVIDIA or ATI, won't hurt much. The first ATI card from Albatron is a Radeon HD 4890 named Radeon HD 4890-1G. This model will be all-stock, clocked at 850 MHz for the GPU, with 256-bit memory interface and 1 GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3900 MHz. The card should hit the market any time soon with a suggested retail price under $250. Later Albatron plans to release more products from the Radeon HD 4000 series.

But they bring nothing new to the table with the 4890. Unless they offer a better warranty. Dont get me wrong, Im glad to see more ATI AIBs, I was just hoping for something "more" with this. Who knows, they may make one hell of a custom card

they could have at least put a little more effort into it & put a custom cooler on it so that we know its an Albatron & not just because they were clever enough to print out a glossy sticker & stick it on......

XFX did the same thing when they started with ATI cards.

You gotta start easy and work your way into the custom PCBs and coolers...

That's what Sapphire has done since they started making ATI cards, stick to the reference board then smack ATI(AMD) in the face with a killer card(not just throw a different HSF on it but change the PCB layout altogether) and make it better!!

nice to see another AIB supplyer adding ati to their offerings, but Im not really in need of a new card my 8800gts 512@755/1900/2200 is more then enought for me at the moment even with AO enabled

I could get 770-780mhz on the Core of my 8800GTS 512, Shader@1945, for some reason on mine i couldnt over clock the memory too much... had an Artic Silencer Twin Turbo running at 60-70%RPM all the time.

This is great, and it shows how AMD is doing better in the GPU market by gettin more AIB. XFX was a big one.
