I just got this card in and running some tests. I just came from a 3870x2, so I will tell you how they run. Firstly, this part of the review is on stock 625/1000 clocks.
First up is the synthetics:
3dmark05 - All stock, no CPU tests done. 1024x768. - 19241
3dmark06 - All stock - 1280x124 - 12206
Furmark - All stock - 1280x1024 - 62min/105max/73 average
Clearly this card is not a 3dmark warrior. With only the dual core, I am a little over what my 8800GT did. The 3870x2 was clicking off 16K in 3dmark06. Onward to the important part though, gaming.
Crysis - High - 1680x1050 - 4xAA - 30FPS average
Lost planet - Maxed DX10- 1680x1050 - 4xAA - Snow Level 25.9FPS - Cave 37.9FPS

Now, here is where the oddity comes in. With my 3870x2 and these same settings, Crysis ran 13.7FPS average. I always thought that was low, so I am assuming that it was only using 1 3870. Even still, 30FPS is insane for these settings, W1z's review of the 4870 shows that it only gets 27FPS average. Further investigation is required here. Lost planet difference is slightly in the favor of the 4850, but only by a few FPS.
More to come later.....
