Kingston hyper X 1066 2gb any good?

A local pc shop is selling this ram at an amazing price, and i just wanted to know how much difference dual channel makes as i dont think they stock kits. Also is the ram any good. I wont be overclocking much.

dual channel makes you have TWICE as many channels! (in throughput, its a very large difference)

You can still get dual channel with sticks that didnt come together ya know... "dual channel" only requires sticks of the same size.

they should be very good but be aware.... if you're overclocking your ram then two sticks are better than four .... i have 2*2GB kingston value 800Mhz 6-6-6-18 overed to 960Mhz 5-5-5-10 without increasing voltage.

They are briliant! I have two kits of them (4x1) resulting in 4GB, I've had them up to 1200Mhz (5-5-5-15) on 2.2V

rofl! You really need to give www.pcint.co.za a good look. They are top on service as well. Its R428 for the ram. The 4870 toxic only costs R2800, the cheapest 4870 around. Now if only they stocked and delivered something for me to mix with my brandy i would be happy

Well they dont do the whole shopping cart thing if thats what you mean. I dunno, i might get an account with them if i can and then i can even get stuff delivered to your door and i would just charge a little for delivery. But even still, you just tell them what you want via email and show them proof of payment when its done, and it will be at your door two days later.
