It is just terrible. I have to clean the inside every month. Every time I do that I get tons of dust. It is quite amazing since we got plenty of rains here at Eugene.

Is there any sort of device that can flit out dust in bedrooms?:)

You could also try and get a air filter for the room. That might help a little bit

how much dust you talking?

You can get fan filters that help keep some of the dust out http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l2/g36...?o=price_asc&gclid=CI-wtKqilZoCFSMeDQodL1aONA
But there will always be dust inside a case, no matter what. Unless you had a secure case that was like a complete vacuum

totally... youll get dust no matter what you do... the best way to keep it out is to design a system that is easy to clean, and clean it once a month with some canned air... I used metal polish that keeps dust from sticking to metal on the inside of the case and my rads.

IMO fan filters are really only worth it for ground intakes. Other than that all they do is add noise and reduce airflow.

Or go for a totally submerged PC then dust wont be a problem. Mineral oil or that one company that is offering fully submerged PCs. Only dust you have to worry about is on the outside of the case.

Or you could build a clean room with hepa filtration and ionization with alot of positive air pressure and change the filters weekly :). WE did that at GE plastics because dust was the enemy and onlytime dust came in the room was when we entered and exited even with air blowing out.

those are good enough:)
dont ram a vacuum in there tho, it'll leave you with a clean but eminently dead pc...
because vacuums create static electricity which al electronic parts are scared of.

Air cans or fan filters work well.

A really simple and easy dust prevention method is to keep your room well cleaned. I vacuum and dust my room twice a week, I have a laminate floor too - my rig is on the floor and I only start to notice dust build up once every month, if that.

canned air is the easy way, but dont forget to leave a window open... that shit gives you one mighty headache in close quarters.

Dont forget the el cheapo solution - i bought a $5 balloon pump that lasted me nearly 10 years to clean the dust out :) press nozzle against dusty thing, pump away :)

air filters on the intake fans, and positive air pressure (more fans in, than out)

^

Also keep it off the floar, as when its on the floor it basically sucks all the dirt off your floor into it... like a giant hot vaccum.

I do mine once every 3 months or so.... usually when i reimage them, and its not all that bad.... and two of mine are sitting on carpet.... maybe i just have a low dust house >?

Agree with Mussels on the positive airpressure + filterde intake fans. Personally i got tired of purchasing canned compressed air, bought a used air compressor and fitted it with a water separator/filter ( to avoid moisture) and mini gun, works much better and removes those stubborn dust patches on the fan blades.
