Ok so today i was doing some price checking, now i was looking for an intel p45 chipset, but then stumbled upon an nvidia 750i chipset for teh same price. I then stumbled on a zotac gtx275 amp for the same price as a 4890. But for the same price as a gtx275 i could get 2 x 9800gtx. So now i really dont know what to go for. I have these decisions

go with the 2 9800gtx if you got the PSU that can handle it.

I say p45 as it's a good chipset. The 4890 is an amazing card to get too plus the crossfire in the p45 gives a good upgrade path if needed.

ROFL hadn't even realised i'd put board (very sleepy :p ).

I don't know why people are saying to get 2 9800s as dual card setups should always be put behind a single card solution as dual card setups only work well in some situations and can be a real pain to get working in some games, so i'd avoid the dual 9800s as either the 4890 or 275 are a better option.

Saying that dual card setups are good if you're using the best single card available and you still want more power, which is why i said crossfire is a good option to keep above before someone calls me out on that.

They are both great cards, but the P45 series doesn't support SLi, and the 750i doesn't clock as well as a p45. Simple reason is better overclock so the only selection there that really makes the best sense, is indeed the P45 (with crossfire support) and the 4890.

i think the question is how much do i want to overclock. Im quite happy with the 3.2ghz that my g31 can get. But anyway, im also looking for better performance. Crossfire would be nice but it would mean a bigger psu.
