so i am shipping out for the air force july 14th i dont want to have to lug a big ass PC with me so i'm going to get a gaming lappy instead i have estimated my PC to be worth around $1500 so thats my budget on a lappy. now my question for all of you is what laptop.

now i do 3D CAD, gaming and benchmarks thats pretty much it.

what i want in the laptop
  • 15.4" MAX must b 1680x1050+
  • either a C2D or C2Q sorry no AMD for me :ohwell:
  • good dedicated VGA card 9800M GS or higher
  • 9 cell battery can be purchased second hand if it still fits price range

as of right now this is what i am looking at

Hell, if I were to settle on a laptop as a rig replacement i'd get a MacBook Pro. It will play most games, nothing CRAZY but most games. I LOVE Mac's/OSX so thats just me. Plus, the resale value on a Mac laptop is so much higher than anything " PC ". They are very expensive, but... man.. they are awesome. I want a Mac Pro tower so bad. :)

I would have to say the MSIGT627-218US, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152099 is a damn good deal for what your looking for.

1. Core 2 Duo P8600
2. 9800M GS
3. 320Gb 7200RPM HD
4. 9-cell battery.
5. 4Gb DDR2
6. Blu-Ray Combo drive(probably Blu-Ray player/DVD-burner)

I really can't see anything wrong with it, hell it comes with a backpack:toast:
