Why? Your x2 is faster.

Maybe, but often these cards perform as a single 4850 in games/applications. I know my gtx260 is better for reliable frame rates than my 4850x2 ever was.

+1, from all the reading I have done it seems that X2 cards yield a higher average FPS, but a single GPU is smoother.

X2 cards tend to suffer from erratic framrate changes, so an X2 will always have the highest and lowest fps counts.

Whereas a single GPU tends to be much more consistent, often resulting in a better gameplay experience.

I would take the 55nm EVGA over the 65nm XFX for power savings alone. Then again, I run everything i got 24/7;)

The XFX is C216, I thought all of them were 55nm?

How do these compare to a single 4850? equal or alittle more powerful?

They're only a little slower than the 4890's.

Nope, the original Core 216 was 65nm. You can tell the XFX is a 65nm version because it has the backplate. The 55nm GT200 cards don't need a backplate, so they don't have them.

Also:

New Zotac 55nm GTX260 Core 216 for $145 after MIR

Or

New eVGA 55nm GTX260 Core 216 for $160 after MIR and if you do a step-up you get to claim the full $185, eVGA doesn't consider the MIR when looking at the price you originally paid for the card.

I'm probably gonna get the retail GTX 260 Black Edition. I like the back plate, not gonna get anymore EVGA stuff, they seem to always give me problems.

Bad experiences with open box cards :( Open box boards have been great tho. My MSI is open box and so is my dads Rampage II X58.
