You may get more feedback if you could provide links to each of the monitors :) - Having to lookup that many different monitors will put people off (like me :p ).

Not meant to be a criticism btw :)

Thanks :) I think either the VW195D, 923NW or VA1926w would be fine. If your friend already has speakers for their pc then i'd not bother getting the asus with speakers, as they normally suck compared to even a cheap pair of pc speakers.

Of those mentioned the 2nd is best. If you're looking to for a 19" with a little more usable desktop space I picked up an Acer X193W+ This past week. It's got a 1680 X 1050 Resolution with 0.243 pixel pitch, compared to the 1440 X 900 and 0.285 pixel pitch of the monitors you are looking at, for around the same price. Here's a link to it on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009127

Not sure if you can get it in your area though

22" monitors are so close in price to 19" anymore; why not make that jump?

Unless this is different overseas or your space is really limited........

I know they don't ship to Russia, but perhaps a Russian retailer has the same model. I put the link so he could look at the specs, read customer reviews, etc.

forget customer reviews. people are the worst critics. visit TFTCentral very rare site they only review monitors. unfortunately they review European models and not all of them are sold in North America. but still a wealth of information to be learned just spending a short time there will turn you into a expert.

:wtf: thats because you have a 37" :p 19 inch can do fine, for "his" 4670;)

I have A 24" BenQ and the 37" is a HDTV and i'm using that only to watch TV&movies :D
Why don't you buy a 22" cheap monitor... in Romania the cheapest 22" LCD is around 119 Euros or 156 USD... (and i think that it's the same price like in Moldavia, NO?)

sorry I disregard your post so its for your friend. We 3 had (or maybe) identical performance when it comes to GPU. With a 22" you can scale down to 1440x900 which is the native reso of 19" WS and still get decent gaming/picture quality + more FPS on the other hand. Well if budget is limited and would really go for 19" I'd say either LG or Asus:toast:
