Want To Play WoW Again

Well the last day of school is Friday - actually I'm not even going Friday so Thursday. Anyway, I want to start playing WoW (World of Warcraft) again for the summer but I have a question.

If I want a WoLK (Wrath of the Lich King) account, must I buy the original game, Burning Crusade, AND Wrath of the Lich King for $60?

But if you decide to buy them, you only need to install WotLK, as Vanilla and TBC is included in the install.

What if I already have the Vanilla and BC discs? I would assume that doesn't help because I've already used the authentication keys for my old account when I used to have it.

What did you do with your old account? Sell it or something? If you still have your old account you can add WOTLK on to it.

Oh trust me I know. I have been watching my friend play WoLK for quite a while now and notice all of the added shit. There's a lot more now than then. Him and I are going to camp out in his nerd cave this weekend and get to 60 in 4 days. Just need to get through two more days of exams and then I will be locked up from the rest of the world.

I would imagine you would have no problem getting 60+ fps in most areas of the game. Obviously huge populated areas will hurt your fps. WOW isn't a very demanding game for computers nowdays. My brothers P4 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, and 128mb 5600 ultra rig has no problem playing the game at lower settings.

I'm really wanting to get back into it as well, just gotta see how much I have left after I get the things I need first. I got angry and stopped playing for a bit when 3.1(Uludar) came out cause it reset my talent tree and reduced my warrior's two hander damage by 10%...I'm still ragin about that!

I quit and sold my account when I get to level like 74..this game really bore me now. Been playing for like 4 years...the only reason I'd start again would be for a pre-bc server. Good ol' times.

With my current rig, I get 60+ everywhere except in Dalaran, where no one gets over 45. :laugh:

This is with everything on high except shadows. I could never see a clear difference with them on high versus medium. Graphics have picked up to be sure. I was in Naxx 25 last Saturday and the spell effects were so bright and colorful it was almost a sensory overload....

Btw, what server you play on?

I have found myself thinking the samething as I feel resilience wrecked this game, Pre-BC was alot more fun. But I am still playing here and there on Kil'Jaeden.

Yeah, same. Arenas are the death of World PvP along with flying mounts...I fucking hate flying mounts with a passion. Wpvp was pretty much the only thing I really enjoyed from wow. You remember all the huge fights in blackrock when two raids crossed paths? The huge wars in Silithus? Tarren Mills and the Hilsbrand Foothills...Duskwood @ the dragon, Light's Hope Chapel before they added guards with Naxx... Man these days were the shit...I had so much fun hunting alone or with a group of my friends..
