No on the psu, get seveteam, or pc&p or a topower,

buy my gtx 285 ;) and if you can wait, i'll have a i7 for sale in about 2 weeks. otherwise the rest is good.

Im pretty new at the whole building thing, only done 1 before with lots of help.

Whats the whole HDD issue? What about this one?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152102

The ram is in a package deal with the cpu :p

You will find lots of different opinions on hard drives. I have have good experiences with both Seagate and Western Digital. They both also provide the 5 year warranty, others only have 3 year.

I noticed the Ram in a combo, I have the OCZ Golds and they work great at stock speeds, but that's about it.

Edit:
Don't make all your decisions based on Newegg's reviews, do some good research. There are a lot of good people here at TPU that will help you out with anything.:)

solid computer almost exactly what I am building except i changed a few parts and had to use a different case to fit the watercooling unit. Three of my friends use that same case you should be extremely happy with it the layout is great for almost any build.

Save some money and get a Gigabyte UD3R or UD4. Very solid boards. In all honesty, just buy the cheapest, reliable 1600 sticks that you can find. On this platform, there is little real world difference in memory performance b/t brands.

Instead of 1 big 1TB drive, get two 640GB WD BLACK EDITION (even the BLUE ones are OK) and configure them as RAID0. There is a big difference.

It's a pity you have so much power potential in the base system, and you're wasting it with just one 260. I would get two of them in SLI. It doesn't look like a big stretch.

PNY makes Quadros for the nVidia line, so I don't think EVGA/BFG/whatever is better or worse quality wise. Choose the ones that are good with warranty in your area.

I have no idea about the PSU. Is the HX750 that much out of your budget?

Umm, look at post #7. SLI for him would be a major waste of money.

A better PSU would help, Roswell isn't that good and you could go for a good Corsair or OCZ PSU which will last longer and be much more reliable,.

You could also you a little faster HDD but the space is great(even tho i have a WD Caviar and its a good drive), WD is a good HD company but you could always get a good HDD with some nice speed to it, like a WD Raptor.

Overall it should be a great system and games would run great on it.

If that's really the case then i7 is a major waste of money for him, he should go Q9550 (@3.4 effortlessly) + P45/ICH10R + 8GB DDR2 (1066)

LE: On second thought, it looks like he really wants an i7. I hope he will be using it at it's full potential because he's paying extra on different parts of the system (while the CPU is not that expensive, the motherboard is more expensive, RAM is more expensive...) and not balancing it with a good GPU subsystem.

i7 has potential as a platform. By itself is not that special. There are other CPU's that do the job just as fine (unless he does something really specific, but it doesn't look like he does).
