Where can I purchase a backplate "I/O Shield" for an Asus board?

estore.asus is out of stock. They had it for $6.50. Theres a guy on ebay selling them for $19.99 + 4.99 shipping. Seems like that douche bought it all from asus estore and selling it on ebay for that ridiculous price.

$20 for an I/O shield? I would rather just not have an I/O shield than have to pay $20 for a stamped piece of sheet metal.

Contacted Asus yesterday and its back in stock today. Nice. But it's 6.50 + 5 shipping.

At least it's not 20 bucks + shipping.

I/O shields make life hard work...they often get in the way, block airflow out and to be honest, anyone can live without one. :)

Well, my antec case has 2 front filters, so if the backplate are blocking airflow, then thats a good thing.

Point being: If you had an I/O shield, fair enough...but buying one?
Pure waste of cash and I'm sure that $20 could be far better spent on something else.

Oh and the more air out of your case, the better.
