i just got a free gateway machine that has a intel i915g chipset board in it. it came with a p4 505 but im thinking of trying my p4 630 in it. will it work?

EDIT: i know i know... "fit im surprised you havent just tried it yet"

I saw an old thread googling for it at XS and they were advising a guy to get a 630/640 and run it on a 915g...do you have any mobo info I can google up?

thanks. idk why i couldnt find that. i went to intels site and searched but it found nothing. idk. it just wanted to be difficult i guess.

im doing a bios update now.

had to go EOL and go to all chipsets. it was a good challenge.
