Will be interesting to compare members monitors. Make a change from cpu's & gpu's !

I included a poll to find out the most common resolution.

The high 5 members monitors. No TV's ! Going mainly by total pixel count.
Member name , Monitor model , Pixel count
  1. Kreij. Dell 3007WFP. 4,096,000
  2. selway89. DELL SP2309W. 2,359,296
  3. alexp999. Samsung SM2433BW. 2,304,000
  4. moonpig. Asus VH226. 2,073,600
  5. Craigleberry. BenQ E2200HD. 2,073,600

Just abit of fun this ok. Plz no arguments over who should be up top. (Its not important) I'll edit this table over the next few days.

Will need proof in the form of a screenie. Use monitor properties in the driver control panel or download monitor test this prog shows many details about your monitor & some test screens.

I think you should get rid of the "best monitors" bit and just stick to the poll. A plus for one person is a negative for another. Like I'd say a 30 inch is too big, or that 1080p > 1200p for 360 and movie compatibility, but others would disagree for various reasons.

Cheers man :D bit more room to play with, without loosing desk space. Amazing picture quality. Was abit worried my graphics card would struggle. But i can play TF2 fine on max, AssCreed runs at max too all at native :) so I'm a happy chappy!

Alex it is a TN panel, but compared to my old Cibox 22" its miles better, and sitting directly in front of it. Main reason for upgrade is screen space, stand adjustability, and future proofing with HDCP. (plus it looks nicer :p )

How is the OP ranking this? Total number of pixels?

I reckon that is one of the most important things for a monitor. Higher res on smaller screen will look sharper !

I use a Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM. It's beautiful. 24" 1920x1200

Depends on the pixel pitch (area between the pixels).

Combination of total pixels and pixel density?

Looks like 22" to 24" is the majority size of users monitors so far.

Depends how far you are sitting, if I added another million pixels to my screen I doubt i will see a difference as I'm too far away.

Prob best to rank by total pixels, so Horizontal X Vertical = Total Pixels.

Despite 2048 x 1152 having fewer vertical pixels as its 16:9, it just edges with total pixels.
