If you had my hardware what would you do with it?

xigmatek cooler with tt 120mm fan

I currently have it at stock, will be getting a wc loop for it here soon as I pay for it which will most likely be tomorrow night then shipping.

Would you try for higher fsb at lower clock say 3.2 or lower fsb at around 3.5?

I ran this at 1650fsb for 3505 but temps would hit high 60's-73 on load

I here this board tops out at around 470 fsb but if i try anything over 425 it fails.

Whats the safest temp/voltage on MCP and nb?

If I put the waterblock on I'm hoping to get a stable 3.2+ clock but I don't want to put this motherboard beyond its limits.

Any tips would be greatly APPRECIATED!

Nvidia chipset + quad core = bad OC potential.
getting an nvidia chipset when not running SLI was a mistake, if you intended to OC.

Go for higher, 3.5 is pretty tame for that stepping. I suggest 4 and up

1.4 is max MCP (subjective); same for NB.

Are you thinking of pencil modding, or is LLC included in the 780i? Sorry, not exactly fond of the mb.

those temps are fine on a CPU like this.

a bit high for those clocks, but safe.

had it at 3800mhz but failed small ftts in about 2 minutes.

its just well known that nvidia chipsets clock decently on duals, but always fall far behind their intel equivalents with quads.

While we can google and find people who have done 4GHz plus, we can also google and find people who've done 6GHz on LN2 with dual cores - just because a few rare good ones can do it, doesnt mean all will.

im running stock 1.2875 @ 425fsb for 3.4ghz

so far prime just over an hour now, playing champs ol and p95 in the background, no hiccups yet.. 66c
