depends on what you want, if you dont plan on upgrading fine, but its limited to ddr which is expensive, also 939 cpu's only went upto a 6000+ i think and you wont find a cheap one. The 3800+ is weak compared to the newer athlon II's and pII

Is this for yourself or a friend, whats the purpose ? gaming internet video etc

there would be no upgrading the 939 system, all the parts are obsolete. You would have to rebuild that sytem, not upgrade.

The x2 4800 and fx60 are the fastest 939 cpu's.

you can build a "decent" system that is capable of being upgraded to be able to play any game out today. Here's a example of a build that only cost's $315 US money and can be upgraded to play even Crysis fully maxed out at 1920*1200 resolution.

no case ? 2gb ram and a 4770 wil play crysis at 1080p  yes ok, and you are working in dollars not pounds

read my post again, I said "Here's a example of a build that only cost's $315 US money and can be upgraded to play even Crysis fully maxed out at 1920*1200". And yes, I know it's in US money, hence the reason I said "$315 US money", which also means he should be able to build it for about 200 euro. Do I really need to list a $15 dollar case?
