I just want to call on all faithful TPU members to start "digging" Wizzards reviews. If you love TPU as I do then for the love of all that is unholy get out there and start digging! :mad:

I'm really too lazy to look up digging, but I really have never got it. It seems they are like recommendations to some search engine somewhere. But where and why is that place used?

yeah ive never really got it, ive never used digg once, looks like a peice of shite for people who dont know how to use google. or maybe just another thing that america uses and no one else.

not a stereotype but i don't know anyone in the UK that uses it or no one i know has ever referred to it in a conversation. SO..... i can only assume as alot of people on this forum are from the US that its a US thing.

I used to browse some articles highlighted by digg, but I got tired of looking through countless pages of crap articles that people "digg" to find the few decent articles. Even the brief time I did look around on digg I didn't register with them since I was tired of the umptenth website wanting my email address.

Ok done.... signed up with digg and hit the "digg" buttons on the recent reviews, but..... There is no way I'm gonna be the first on that diggs an article since they apparently want you to write a short description of the article :x

Oh not to be mean but.... I think that nice image of the kid with a shovel can be 'shopped to have a pile of dog doodoo at the base of the shovel with the text replaced by "never ending digg". I'm not saying tpu articles are crap(I signed up here long time ago since its a good site), but its all the other crap on digg that I really hate sifting through.

I also have never used digg and never heard anyone in a conversation ever bring up digg, so that could make me assume that everyone everywhere else uses it, get what I'm saying

A lot of people on this forum are from the US, but we are still quiet spread out, like I think theres only 2 or 3 people on here from my state. And I don't use digg, if they did that would be 2/3 of us that did and if 1 other doesn't thats 1/3 and thats of people on a tech forum, so that number would drop beyond that, making it a pretty low percentage across the rest of the population. :toast:

So by us "digging" it will up we'll say the chances of "5850 review" having the TPU review be the top result on google? Or is it only on a specific "Digg" site? Like I said I havent really used it so I'm not sure if there is such a site, but if it bumps it on all search engines, I might have to start digging.

i'm not 100% sure, but it is my impression based on experience that google counts diggs and favours pages based on that.

I stopped using Digg about a year ago when they moved all their client-side scripts to MSN and their site stopped working in Firefox+NoScript because of it.

You don't have to make an account for Digg.

Unless you're some sort of social vagabond, I assume you have a Facebook account, yes? You can digg things on their site with that -- just login normally.
