Russianboy did it at 12, Ben Clarke at 13. Assembling a computer isn't tougher than cooking up an elaborate meal.

im not that suprised, because i think if he was into computers since the beginning, it would have been easily possible. its easier for him now because of the high level hardware available to him today, so its not something suprising, but yeah its quite lolz

Nope, there aren't. The best 10,000 RPM drives are the 300GB VelociRaptors. I'm not really that impressed, I was building computers before I was 13.

I think the first pic is a bit funny, because his computer is turned on and he seems to be unscrewing something...
...While the computer is on lol. And the dude "usetolivethere" is lacking a lot in the mental area, cause my computer runs
fine with no side panel.
But honestly, I don't know what to think about this. Not really impressed.

That itself would take up half or more of his $2500 budget. 10K rpm SAS drives are on par with SSDs at price/GB.

Definitely not a big deal to me.

But considering Jamaica doesn't have a lot of resources to build such a rig, they have every right to be impressed.

The impressive part is that he got it all to Jamaica, and that his rig definitely is near the top of the line for people there. For us in the USA and other techy countries, it's unimpressive. All around, the kid bought from Amazon, which shows his noobiness. He probably overspent a buttload. But no, it's not surprising because he learned how to build it from all the help on the internet. If he built it with no internet access, slightly more impressive, but not genius.

ridiculous, that's what i would say. it's like watching south park episode where all adults act stupid, while only kids have some common sense.
